Rumor has it that a quest is going to be released on Oct. 17th that involves these Photon Drops in some way.
Excuse me for my newbieness... But what the heck IS a photon drop? I keep hearing about them, but not one explination... Thanks in advance.
It looks like a red box that says photon drop. It doesn't do anything (yet). I have maybe 4 between my characters. They are found randomly, anywhere.

Just common rare items. Mostly found in boxes by me. The popular rumour is that they will be used to boost photon percentages on your weapon. I have about 15 across my characters, doing nothing at all with them.
Maybe they are there to make a rare weapon by combining it with something. Or they are there just for looks. (like the accesory item)
