Is there a difference between the drops/drop rates for these monsters, Mothvists and Mothverts, Dark gunners and Death Gunners, Bulclaws and Bulks

Yes, simply go look at the drop charts for whichever version you are playing. I do believe however that the dark and death gunners are the same drop, wherease the Mothvist, Mothverts, Claw, Bulclas, and Bulks are all seperate drops.

I believe this is incorrect..from my understanding from what i have read the DEATH gunners only drop pds - they have no RARE item drop.

on my version the death gives a diferent item then the dark gunner
the flying things give also a rare item but the nest does not
in some difficulty the bulk gives a rare, diferent from the bulkclaw

Your profile says you play GC? I can fill you in on this then.

Mothvist- Do NOT drop rares/items (I dont think they drop anything)
    Mothvert- DO drop rares/items
    Dark Gunners- DO drop rares/items
Death Gunners- Do NOT drop rares, do drop items
    Bulclaw- DO drop rares/items
Bulk- Do NOT drop rares (can't remember if they drop anything)

So basically, against Bulclaws, if they become a Bulk, run out of the room, and let it reform into a Bulclaw if you want a drop.

For Dark Gunners, it's annoying. You have to kill the Dark Gunners, not the Death Gunner (Because once you kill it, another Dark Gunner will usually become the Death Gunner). So, kill all the Dark Gunners first. You'll always have one Death Gunner, so in a spawn of 6 Gunners, you can get 5 chances at a rare. As for Mothverts, they drop rubbish anyway.

Uriko is totally correct. And the same goes for Xbox as well (although it should be evident since they are the same version, but you know someone will ask...)

Dark Gunner are just a PAIN! I recommend if you must hunt, try doing it with a FO if you can, or at least use a weapon with a tech special or you'll get easily annoyed trying to chase these guys around waiting for them to be attackable.

ok thanks for the gunners if you can freeze or paralize them they become attacable even with the shield on or you can use techs or a one hit kill special. Bulks do drop items.

Yeah, I don't usually let Bulclaw live long enough to give them chance to split, so I couldn't remember if Bulk ever dropped anything

For the Gunners, elemental specials (or freeze/Paralyze) work, and allow you to hit them all the time.

I seem recall those little buggers dropping rares for me (and I'm pretty sure it's the same as Mothvest).

No, Mothvists don't drop. (Mothvist being the Nest, NOT the flies)
