You have some pretty cool songs/titles, so I'll say you're good.

Joy Division - Closer is a great album, but for a great bundle i'd try to find Joy Division - Still. they are a band that is like a fine wine with subtle undertones. you can buy albums with other versions of their work and find that slight variations in the recording makes the experience almost feel like new. it's definitely a steep slope to get into them, but once you do it is very much worth it.
oh, and they are one of the few bands that i absolutely insist people listen to covers of. most bands just cannot cover beautiful classics, case in point i've yet to hear a Fleetwood Mac cover that wasn't noticeably crappier than the original. but Joy Division was so often recorded under "sub optimal conditions" in live venues that studio renditions by others come out so well. that, and the songs almost beg to have someone's personal stamp placed upon them. there's quite a few covers floating around; one of my surprise faves is Moby's cover of New Dawn Fades. there should be a few cover anthology albums floating around, as well.

Dream Theater, massive win.
Symphony X, massive win.
Hrigg, gains massive win +2
Oh, good place to start with Modest Mouse. Next, you should get The Moon & Antarctica. That album is essential. <3
