Dang. I never got far enough in a Metroid game to ever face Ridley. This is the first game I get to him.
And he's freakin' hard! It drives me insane!
Anyone else have trouble against him?

err, I thought he was suprisingly easy. If you hold the R button, its almost impossible to miss him. So you just unload missles and its a matter of killing him before he kills you. No tactical moves needed what so ever.

    Dude...play him in Prime.

The first of the battle...super easy. You waste 2/3 of his life like nothing. Then, he attacks on ground. Super cheap then.

Fusion was the easiest Ridley I faced...hell, he was a welcome relief after the other bosses.

Actually i thought he was easy. Just gotta learn is patterns. Metroid Fusion rocks If you think Ridley is hard, wait until you fight SA-X.

Tip for beating Ridley in Fusion: Stay to the wall, wait till he flies up, then hold R and L, and pound B button like there's no tommorrow.

Ridley is my favorite boss on both games. Mostly because he is easy compared to the other bosses. Prime was...well, ok, he was a little easy, but it took three times to kill him (2 to beat his first form, two to beat his second) and it takes a long time to beat him. But Ridley...easy and quick, plus he's a famous character, maybe that's why. I don't know I just like him.

But as for Fusion, Ridley is a challenge, but he's not as difficult as previous bosses like Nightmare and the Rouge bot. Took me half a dozen times to beat him though. Just keep trying, and don't try anything fancy. You can only kill this guy with missles. Well, you can use the Wave beam, but it takes a lot to charge, so just use your missles and then resort to the beam.
Nope, no pictures here. Move along.

I found Ridley to be easy in both Prime and Fusion. I did die once in both games but I used that time to experiment. Once I found that Fusion Ridley is a mash feast then he was a cake walk.

Tip for beating Prime Ridley...*Skip if you don't want to know*

When he's on the ground use the combo wave beam. Keeps him at bay most of the time while sucking his life away.
