    Unless you're somehow running a hacked/unpaid for copy of PSU ...

    This is what Sega tech support is for. They're paid professionals with documentation and the tools to actually work you through your problem.

    First rule of tech support;
    It's always a setting.

    So if all your settings are ok...
    See the second rule of tech support;
    It's a setting you didn't know existed, or thought was right.

    And if that doesn't solve the problem, see the third rule;
    It's your hardware.

    And if it's your hardware, the only solution is replacement, if you can't tweak the settings, or update the drivers, and get it to work.

    you can pinpoint the issue on your own. when do freezeups or whatever appear?

    in my case for example, i know that its the shitty motherboard.
    i run a fan that aims directly at the GPU, the side of the PC is open and its nifty 32°C in it when it runs for a while.
    besides this, sometimes

    the usual suspects (in the order of consumed time):
    rename the Gameguard folder and let it reinstall. (GG really fucks the game's performance up)
    install the latest drivers for all components.
    reinstall the game itself. defragment the drive, install the latest drivers before you reinstall.
    reinstall windows. do a deep reformat before reinstalling.
    try with other hardware.

    Alright, I'm liking Rena-ko's advice. Mainly cause I've already done what Neferious has suggested. Let's hope this works...
