Actually, this is an argument. Casts make better hunters in every way compared to humans, while beasts have lower ata. Comparing the stats of the two, Beasts get higher HP while casts get higher DFP. Beasts get more atp while casts get much more ata. Beasts get more MST, while casts get less evp (still not convinced it's a positive stat for hunters).

I'd say that beasts make slightly better hunters, but casts look so much better that it's not a comparison.

But remember that Beasts are going to be getting the black nanoblast w/ the two axes. That alone would be a good enough reason to push Beast ahead of CAST as Fortefighter.
