Mm, I knew this would come up, and I know you are joking, but I better post this here so people can spread it around to stop any confusion.

This Mother Brain is a throwback to the Mother Brain in Phantasy Star 2, and not a cheap nameoff of Mother Brain in Metroid.

Further googling will prove that she, indeed, looks a lot like her PS counterpart.
