I really wish people would set runs to rares in order and normal to give finder. i have not seen that once except for the party i started. order distributes the badges pretty evenly as four generally drop at a time on higher levels. it's not pefect, but does a much better job than random, or (god forbid) give finder. and normals; i'd rather not have my inventory filled up with a bunch of crap people like to pick up. i really have no use for [b]deljabanners.

as for rare drops, they can drop at anytime so in order is practically set on random except for the badges. eveyone gets dished out one at a time. booma claws i understand as people see red and pick it up by habit.

for random parties, i'm actually really picky. i'll join a couple leave after 5 minutes and keep bouncing around different parties from the counter until i find one that works well. if it takes 20 minutes to get to caves 2; leave, party skips badges for speed runs; leave, leader sets rares on in order; leave. other than that i pretty much sick around in a party. i'm a techer so i provide buffs, resta and i do decent damage even though i level techs most of the time; i only use the right ones for the right situation.

if i meet cool people i generally get their card. and set them as priority 4 or soemthing so i can mail around looking for a party if i need it.

Yeah, it can be frustrating to play with randoms, but there are times where I have no choice. If it does get bad, I usually leave after that run. Then I try the next one and hope for a decent group, which exists. I've met most of my friends in universe 02, so I figure that more awesome people are hiding somewhere.

I must've been having some extraordinary luck when I decide to go random. I've never been treated badly in any way in a random party and have made a lot of acquaintances in such parties.

It gets a little quiet at times, yes. But quiet is good at times.

    -.-

Edit: misspelled "luck" with "look". Really.

I've never had a problem getting booted either (knocks on wood). I can't even remember the last time I got kicked.

When playing with random parties, I expect the worst and try to cut off whatever I can. If they're annoying to talk to, I simply won't speak. If they suck, I'll find another party or solo faster than they kill. Every now and then, though, I find a party where people kill quickly and the conversation is enjoyable. When that happens, I'm pleasantly surprised.

    Funny thing.
Some noobs can learn, others can't. If you don't take time to help them, they won't change and be level 120 saying, "What are frags?", or help them out so they can do better. DreX helped train a new ATer during a run. I was kinda jealous because he was saying "Good job!" and things when she was kinda not, but she eventually got it. I only think he helped her because she was a chick, but anyhow, just helping them out sometimes makes it best for everyone.
It's those "You don't know how to play this game, and I do!" fags that you have to get away from. They need help, yet don't want it so don't give it. Excuse yourself and leave the party so they can waste 30 mins in Forest instead of keeping you and only doing 12 or whatever.
Also, don't become a jerk like them either. It IS possible to learn new things from randoms. Hell, I did speed runs with randoms and didn't even relize it! XD

    *facepalm*

Is this another case of one of your undetectable sarcasm, Ms. I get mailed by ark, jose, and seance 24/7? XP

(Ok fine, I guess it's calmed down now).

And Yes, I'll generally help people when they need it, but when I have work to do, or some other plans for the day, I prefer a competent party to get through things quickly. I'm paying the month to enjoy the game the way I want it, after all.

Here's one of my annoying runs. Me, lv 94, a dude lv 130, and 2 new players, lv 80 and 85.

The 130 seemed too either be lagging or just TRYING to not keep up with the party, therefore most rooms were cleared before he got there. It would've been nice if we had, he was a fighter like me, and we could've used him.

    Scapes found:0
Scapes at end of mission: Probably 10

The 80 and 85 didnt carry mates or scapes. One of them was a useless gunner and the other was.a protranser lv 1. The one used nades on the bil de vears, resulting in me getting killed by it spinning multiple times on EACH bear, while it took forever to kill them because they kept spinning. The PT spammed jabroga for under 1k damage on EVERYTHING, so I had to chase the same enemy around to every corner of the room before he stopped. >_>
scapes used: 0, they didnt bring any
    scapes found:4
scapes at end of mission: 3 for one of them, the other had 1

Me, lv 94 fighgunner. I'm doing the most damage, AND protecting the noobs, while every foie/megid/rappy polec sleep attack is aimed at ME. So here I am getting killed by spinning bears thanks to the others, AND getting 3 foies in the face from behind me every 20 seconds or so. Not to mention that every megid that I couldn't dodge DID kill me, and I was using a delette line.
    Scapes used:10
    Scapes found:1
    End scapes:1
    Fuck randoms

I had a team of 3 started last night, and a random filled the last spot.

The one thing that was irritating: The game's set to random/random as usual and for a change I got virtually EVERYTHING at the end. Badges, crap boards, the rares scrolling at the end looked like one of those movies where one person did like 90% of the characters and most of the production jobs as well. This dude was PISSED OFF.

Oh, I'm sorry, supposing you were equipped and playing your absolute best you'd count for what... like HALF the damage of one of your teammates thanks to the stats/PA differences? You're entitled to what now?

Anyway I was a good sport about it and helpfully suggested that loot rewards might be tied to how much someone uses weapons of the opposite element to their target, since he had gone the whole mission using same-element weapons whenever possible. Funny how people don't stick around for another run after you've pointed out something like that.

The best part of the story is that this friendly techer named "strawberry pancake" filled the spot after and was awesome for putting up with the most obnoxious Pun War ever held in a PSU event mission.
