and i dunno if i'll be beating this game anytime soon. the fourth level is REALLY tough. i've barely made it there, after dying tons of times because of that damned third level boss...
The games that Treasure puts out don't take a whole lotta $ to make in the first place.
Ikaruga is a 2d shooter - It doesn't take a huge development team or that much time to make one. In other words, while some games require multi-million dollar investements and target a broad audience, others require a smaller investement but only target a small audience.
The former has the potential for great profit and loss, while the latter is the safer, yet more limited approach.
Anyway, the game is a quality shooter, and I'll probably get it in the future, but only after the price falls.
