I've been here since... November '06, I think (early November). As a lowly European ( ) , I had to import the game.

In that time, I've never actually quit- even with all the bad updates and mistakes by different branches of Sega, I'm still here. The reason? I keep playing because I have good friends to play it with.

    Best moments so far:
    - Running SEED Awakened S for the first time (when it released) and thinking it was really hard.
    - Racing a friend to Shikon Islands (way back in v1)- he thought he'd beaten me until he found me sat at Shikon, waiting for him
    - Finding one of the first Tero / Guards on PC/PS2 (when the only way to get it was Desert Goliath).
    - Finding one of, if not THE first Serafi-senba board on PC/PS2 (roughly 1 1/2 hours after the maintenance that added White Beast)
    - Finally finding Agito Repca after over 400 HIVE runs.

Thanks to everyone who's made my time online worthwhile, and a two-fingered salute to all those who tried to make it worse. Here's to another year! (2 is probably optimistic...XD)

I've been around since day one, and still going. Oddly, I've never reached a level cap.
Something to work toward, I guess.

    Happy birthday, PSU!

I'm one of the 20 people left on the pc/ps2 server. I usually just log in to grab my coin and log out unless one of my friends are on.

Back on topic. I had this game 2 weeks after it came out and only cause that's how long it took for it to be available in my area. I have never pre-ordered a game and never will. Games are a casual thing and not a way of life. Usually! It looks dim to see anymore phantasy star games released on pc so this soon to be extinct game will probably be the last ps game I buy. It will be a shame to see this game go but not unexpected. I think we have one more year but it's going to be rough!

    Thumbs up

Holy carp! Has it been two years already?! I first played PSU in Story Mode sometime before January 2007. I liked the offline stuff and the core gameplay so much, I broke down and subscribed to Network Mode in that month.

For the next six months, I played solo. Money and experience came easily offline. Boy, was I in for a shock online! I treasured every meseta I could get my destitute hands on. Each level I gained was like a birthday. Those were hard times (for a game, at least ), but I had fun.

My solo days gradually came to an end when Operation: Firebreak began. Not wanting to miss out on the co-op missions, I joined my first party. I got lucky. That party had some of the nicest Guardians anyone could meet. Most of them have turned in their Guardian's licenses (i.e., quit PSU) for one reason or another. It was sad to see them go, but I'm glad we shared a lot of good times. I hope they have some fond memories, too. *sniff*

Call me old-fashioned, but I kinda miss the old days when the only way to travel was mission by mission. It felt like I was on a journey, travelling like this. I enjoyed that feeling. Then again, I'd hate to have to complete five free missions and slay two giant SEED-infected native creatures every time I wanted to go to the casino. XD

PSU has grown quite nicely in the last two years. I hope it'll last at least another three. I look forward to its continued evolution. There's no other online RPG I'd rather be playing.

Pretty much same here. I swear, if it wasn't for the small, tight group of friends I have with this game, I would have been gone a long time ago.

I took a month break over the firebreak event, cause frankly, zapping seeds and losing some of the new mission difficulties that were actually dropping the new stuff didn't appeal to me. I still payed for my account though this though, I wasn't sure at the time if they deleted chars or not, and I knew I was coming back.

The only time I've ever actually stopped payment on my account was after the MAG blunder. They tried double charging me for the month they couldn't due to the billing error, I complained, got my refund, and canceled my account so they couldn't charge me for the next month. And since verification was still down, I just kept playing. I played from April to mid July for $10, which was a pretty good deal. When they finally got the billing straight, I waited a couple weeks to make a decision whether to renew or not. I went with the 180 package when I came back, and even though it still sucks when we don't get updates, for some reason you don't feel as robbed by it cause you're not paying on a monthly basis lol....I'll continue to get the 180 day sub if I renew again in the future

I wasn't able to start the game online when it came out for a good while. That being said, I've been around since late Feb/early March 2007. There's been a lot of good and bad, but it's been worth it. I was going to quit at some point this year, but I'm staying till the end.

Been on psu since it came out. I still log in from time to time, waiting for them to beef it up a bit :

    I've been playing constantly since day one... I feel old now -_-;

One of my favorite moments was after running the Linear Line and my party go to the end. We sat there for awhile and asked, "Uh, do we run this again?" after a few times, we didn't ask anymore, we just kept running the same two missions. Many confusing times that first two weeks!

I also remember thinking some level 11 player with twin daggers was a god XD

    Talking Psu till the end!

Got the game because 2 friend in real life were getting it and wanted 2 play it with em online! man was I such a nob back then! been playing it online since the first weekend it came out, and haven't looked back! (though my friends and many others have quit). love the game play and customization and the few good friends that are left on the PC/PS2 servers. Plan on staying till the end which I hope is a long long time away! Will say Operation fire brake was the best event we ever had wish they would bring it back!
