Actually, if you're running any version of windows XP or after, you can freely use the wired controllers for it. Mac has to run software like Bootcamp, Parallels, or Fusion to run the client anyway. Works fine on both my PC and Mac when running windows.

Nope, it will only charge it. For the wireless controller you need to buy the wireless adapter.

yeah, I got all excited when Windows found the driver for my controller, only to have it turn on my xbox instead of working with the PC. When I get some extra cash, I'll just get a wired one. I finally took on the dragon last night with my RAcaseal and I got to thinking that it would have been a lot easier if I had had a controller ^_^. I never played a lot of PC games, so I am pretty fail at WASD movement.


I have a really really dumb question that for some reason I can't figure out. How do you assign things to the number buttons across the bottom of the screen?

And on an semi-related note, is there a way to reassign the keyboard? Maybe I would fare better if I swapped the movement to the arrow keys.

The options menu has all the game pad and keyboard config options for changing controls. As for the number icons, go to your customize menu select one of the icon spaces so the icon menu pops up. Highlight what ever you want to equip and push the number key you want that item or tech assigned to it.

If you use a wired 360 controller you can set it up so it's the same controls as PSOX, then you'd feel a little more at home.

Is that possible with a GC controller too? I feel more comfortable with those.

Yeah, there's an adapter you can buy. I don't think it's sold in retail anymore, though.
