Isnt it possible to add the save name thing as an exception to your patch?
say have the pso-world community determine acceptable exceptions
well I dunno.... idea only

I think it would be better if the anti-hack affects only online mode but letting
you hack to your heart's content offline.
After hall if the antihack disconects you or crashes your psp when hacking online
i dont see a problem in making the offline mode an exeption.
Certainly that would put off any hacker who wants to ruin online experience, just
my opinion tough.
As far as I can tell from reading, the anti-hack would actually affect anyone who uses RAM hacking- Such as TempAR/CWCHEAT and other on-system means. It wouldn't do much to prevent hacking via a save editor, methinks.
Yeah if you use a save eitor the antihack its useless but what coldbird wants
is to render multiplayer unplayable to hackers by making their PSP crash when
they use any kin of cheats online.
That's why im asking to let the antihack affect only ONLINE and not offline so that
people who cant play online or simply dont care about it, can still HACK & UNDERSTAND
the game.
Actually some savegame hacks are detectable.
If a class goes way beyond the stats it could normally reach, just comparing the stats to the max values will do the job of detecting it.
Just imagine. Random cheater ( I just can't call them "hackers" ), goes online, is defeated without mercy, goes 5 minutes offline, cheats to their heart content, and comes back with weapons and armors with max stats. While this way they can't affect your character ( like they do right now ), it's still annoying if you're playing Battle Mode or something like that.
Variable matching seems like a better idea *disregard my last post*
I have used hacks before but never to break limits or barriers
pretty much like Nintendo's pokemon checker for online mode.
if a Pokemon has stats and/or other things that they are not
supposed to have than It will not let them connect to the
online mode regardless but offline or AD-Hoc they can cheat
however they please

There are loopholes.... nothing made by manking is never safe...
but lets face it.... people (as in tempAR CWcheat users to be specific) who cheat are too lazy and dumb. (most of them, not all of them)
they WILL get pissed when they see that their ``best`` tool gets killed off
mostly flame at Coldbird and the PSO'Community
someone WILL find a way to bypass but not soon hopefully

To be honest we should just play amongst ourselves.
Whoever is cheating can just get black listed simple.
