-The year is 2450 AD. Since the second contact incident, more and more “Interfaces” (In layman’s terms, humans with special powers) appear among normal people. Humanity, fearing what they can barely understand, hunted down and killed these “Interfaces”. Those who were fueled by greed and ambition, on the other hand, captured “Interfaces” for the purpose of “research” on their abilities. The organization with the most power and influence, among these groups, was Veriken Industries. Veriken had close ties to the world government and was the primary supplier of the world’s food, medicine, cosmetics, and secretly, “Supplementary” materials for the armed forces. As such Veriken, could do what they please, with very little to no repercussions. Veriken conducted experiments on the “interfaces” in their custody, and among these test subjects were Lucress Halveza (Eliora’s birth name), her younger brother Pyroni Halveza (Kaile Gerfried’s past incarnation), and seemingly, Elemia Dylome (Izumi’s past incarnation).
-Lucress and Pyroni were siblings, 3 years apart, who lived relatively happy lives with their parents. At the age of 15, Lucress started to have nightmares about a pale masked woman with red eyes and long black hair, an otherworldly biomechanical entity, and the obliteration of existence. These visions became worse as she started heard voices repeatedly telling her “Conflagrate” and “Resolion”. These voices eventually drove her insane, and she prematurely tapped into the power deep inside her being. This power was the fourth emanation of the Pleroma, Bazriel. Bazriel is the Splendor and the quality that gives unconscious desires in creation a symbolic form. Lucress’s momentary insanity, and abrupt possession of an uncontrollable power, led her to take a beastly form and released a fiery wave of energy that incinerated everything in a 200 km radius. Fortunately, her 12 year old brother Pyroni, was in another country, due to schoolwork at the time, and was spared from the blast.
-The world government acted accordingly and judged Lucress as an extremely dangerous “interface”. She was assigned to Veriken’s custody, where she was subjected to torturous tests. A few months later, Lucress was shocked to see that Pyroni was given to Veriken as well since their testing indicated that not only was he an “interface” as well, but he had certain “irregularities” that set him apart from other test subjects. While imprisoned in Veriken’s testing facilities, they befriended another test subject named Elemia Dylome. Peculiarly, Pyroni had a very curious feeling about Elemia which felt as if she was very familiar to him. The siblings and Elemia exchanged their stories, and the siblings were shocked that Elemia was the daughter of the very rich Dylome family. This only shows just how much power Veriken has, as The Dylomes’ power and influence could not stop Veriken from procuring their daughter, nor alleviate her suffering.
- While most test subjects would die from being experimented on, or go mad and commit suicide as an escape, the bond between the three helped them endure their suffering. Eventually, the three of them managed to escape from Veriken and were able to live out of the radar. It was at this point that Pyroni and Elemia’s relationship blossomed. They were able to live thanks to the Dylome family’s resources and protection however the siblings didn’t want to be a burden to the Dylome family, or Elemia, and were happy to be granted to work for their keep. In the 7 years of being protected by the Dylome family, Pyroni trained in swordmanship, and studied various complex technical subjects as he had an unnaturally high intellect (this is actually a common trait among all of Adamas’/Kaile’s incarnations). Lucress trained in swordsmanship as well, but she also studied all forms of unarmed combat and was found to be a prodigy at it. Elemia, on the other hand was usually away discussing matters with her family and studied politics and self defense.
- Lucress felt happy that her brother was happy, not just because they lived peacefully, but because of Elemia. She knew that Pyroni and Elemia were a perfect match together, and went to visit Elemia to give her approval as a sister. When she saw Elemia, she was shocked to see her talking with executive ranking officers from Veriken. Lucress decided to eavesdrop, but couldn’t hear much. Then, a statement sounded clear to her. She heard Elemia say, “The past seven years went all according to plan… those two, Lucress and especially Pyroni, are indeed suitable for our objectives.” Lucress went on her knees due to shock. Later, Lucress confronted Elemia about what she heard. The usually kind and understanding Elemia then stared at Lucress with a blank expression with condescending eyes, and told Lucress the truth.
-The head of the Dylome family was in fact one of the board members of Veriken Industries, and Elemia, at the age of 11, usurped control of the family from her father and had him eliminated. She would then use the family’s influence to direct Veriken however she pleased. She revealed she was also responsible for all the circumstances that forced Lucress to go berserk, her and Pyroni’s captivity in Veriken, meeting Elemia, orchestrating their escape, and keeping them under watch for the past 7 years was all part of the plan. Elemia claims that she needs the siblings to be stronger, for she plans to use them in a “ritual” for “God”.
-On hearing all of these, the voices in Lucress’ head then began to resurface, and repeatedly utter the words they did 7 years ago, which again triggered Lucress to transform into the black beast and go berserk. The black beast flew out of the Dylome estate and went on rampages in cities and decimated the military. While all these happened, Elemia shed a tear while smiling and muttered, “All according to plan…”. Pyroni, who was not informed of Elemia’s treachery or Lucress’ transformation into the black beast, was commissioned by Elemia to develop a freezing device capable of negating the black beast’s flames and encase the creature in ice. Eventually, Pyroni developed the device and used it on the beast. Upon confronting the black beast, Pyroni was mortally injured by being impaled by the beast’s claws, but was successful using the freezing device, then died soon after. At the end of her rampage, Lucress razed the continents of Asia and Europe. When the military and Veriken Industries were about to procure the creature, they were under attack and overwhelmed by a fleet of airships which then took the frozen beast into their custody. This fleet was the corps of the “Norea” Faction. The "Norea" faction is an organization which fought for the rights of "Interfaces" and openly opposed groups such as Veriken. The “Norea” were very good at hiding in plain sight from the government, that even the digital communications network they used was practically alien to that used by the government. It was found out that Elemia Dylome leaked detailed information to the “Norea” faction about their major plans, hence she was dubbed a traitor and promptly executed.
-The whole truth was, Elemia took charge of the Dylome family and Veriken Industries, as it was essential to the eventual revival of the Kalass System. She led to Lucress and Pyroni’s capture and went under the guise of a fellow test subject in order to get close to the siblings. Everything up till then went according to plan, however as time passed Elemia eventually truly came to love them, especially Pyroni, because of the lengths they went through to protect Elemia in their time in the facility. After their escape and 7 years together, Elemia and Pyroni fell in love and eventually, Elemia’s memories as Eve had awoken in her. Like her predecessor, she was horrified of everything she had done. She also realized the “will” left to her by the Pleroma. She needed to gather all the” interfaces” who contained the 10 emanations of the Pleroma, in one place and time. As even she was not sure if all 10 will even gather in a uniform time period, Elemia took drastic measures. Since only 3 of them were only gathered, she had to ensure Lucress would be alive if and when all 10 meet together. Elemia knew she would be reincarnated by the Kalass system when she dies, and so will Pyroni as he is to the Pleroma what she is to Kalass. The problem was if Lucress or any other interface of Bazriel (the 4th emanation), would even appear in the future. So she decided to have Lucress frozen.
-Elemia knew Lucress would never believe an absurd story about an existence obliterating system playing god with the world, nor about having an aspect of an even higher entity within themselves, so she decided to freeze Lucress by force. She made sure Lucress saw her meetings with the Veriken executives, and after long and hard hours of thinking it over and over, she heavy-heartedly provoked Lucress’ rampage even if it meant that so many innocent people would be killed. She then arranged the “Norea” faction to take care of Lucress’ frozen body until the “Chosen Man of God” came forth, and commissioned Pyroni to make the device with very strict specifications as only he had the technical knowledge to do so. Since Pyroni’s death was not part of her plan, Elemia leaked information that she was the informant of the “Norea”. She did so, as she could not live with the guilt of being responsible for so much suffering and death, especially Pyroni’s, so she desired to be branded as a traitor and executed. It may have been selfish, but since she lost Pyroni, the only man who she ever loved, and Lucress the only true friend she ever had, she had no desire to live any longer, nor could she even remain sane with the crushing guilt.
-The year 2687, Kaile’s party and Izumi meet with the “Norea” and are shown a naked woman incased in ice. The party is then informed that 230 years ago, this woman was actually the black beast who razed half the world, however she would be a tremendous help in the mission they needed to accomplish. Eventually the party agreed to take her in and asked her to be de-frozen. Upon being revived, the woman did not know who she was, as her memory was fragmented due to the hibernation. The woman was generally friendly, but very suspecting of Izumi, to which the party found odd. Kaile asked the woman’s caretakers as to what her name was, to which the caretaker responded, “It is best not to look into unnecessary things at importune times. However, we were once told that if she were to awaken again, a name that praises God must be given to her. We then decided that if she reawakens, her name would mean “God is light”, Eliora”. The woman who was once the black beast said, “I see… It sounds comforting. I like it… Eliora”.
