Default Trap Ra test - Updated 07/13

I'm sure that most people have seen the Trap Ranger video on Dark Ragne now.

If not, a quick search on the forum would be able to find it.
One of our guildmate, after seeing the video, decided to buy a new skill tree and try it out.

    His base conclusion -
The trap can be set and have a cool down of 0.5 sec, it explode and hit 3 time, and able to carry a max of 10, so able to damage over 6k 30 time easily.
It's able to deal alot of damage on almost all of the boss, save one.
The Mammoth boss, the trap just slide down it's back harmlessly.
Rock-Bear : Hard to aim on it's head, as it's a tiny target. and the damage done between it's leg isn't that impressive.

It work great on all other boss, and even some annoying normal enemy, such as the mech that repair itself, destroy one of the body or leg, set a trap, and when it's core come to fix, it's gone.

Max damage I've seen is 8131 on the Desert Boss

    His stat
    Male Cast Ranger, Lv.40
    Lv.150 Shooting/Ability Mag
Mag stat is distributed as such, 65 Shooting, 70 Ability, 15 Shooting Defense

His weapon is a +10 Rappy cannon with ShootingII, making it's Shooting 473

So his max shooting is 1070 or 1151(With drink)

    His skill build
    http://pso2skill.web.fc2.com/ra.htm?...000i50110d1000

Con - Unable to equip some of the current best gear, due to putting point into Trap skill tree
    - Normal fighting, damage is lost by about 200.
    - He only got lv.1 Weak bullet, so he needs to team up with another RA with more weak bullet.

    His screenshot so far
Dark Ragne Weakness, No Weak Bullet
    Spoiler!

Dark Ragne weak spot + Weak Bullet

Dark Ragne weak spot + Weak Bullet

Rock Bear Free Forest H - Lv.33 with Weak bullet between it's leg(As that's the easiest target to hit with the trap)
    Spoiler!

Certainly not useless, seems to be more fun than Launcher all day urrday. It's a good thing we can purchase separate skill trees, as its pretty fun going down routes you typically wouldn't. I mean... I maxed out Guard Stance on one of mine and the damage decrease is hardly noticeable since I have Souls all over the damn place. Though I've yet to have any actual reason to use it...

I've never been a fan of laying down traps in any game I've played, but props for figuring out a working strategy for a unique build.
