The English patch broke my game

After installing the english patch my game got screwed up. There seems to be no way to recover from this. I restarted the game and my pc several times. How could this even happen? sega's doing a pretty terrible job with the english patch. I wish we english players got at least some support. I now need to format my hardrive and reinstall pso2 again. This is a warning to all of you who are considering patching the english patch to his/her game. THere will be no way to recover from this besides reinstalling!
