I know I'm not the only one here who thought this was stupid once you really found out what was going on with these so called "Sub-classes". In my book a "Sub-class" works like this: You make a (male/female) (Human/Newman/Cast) Hunter, Ranger or Force. Get that character to level 30 then complete the appropriate NPC and Koffee client orders and your character can use the Fighter, Gunner or Techer "Sub-class" weapons. All this while keeping your current character level not having to start over at level 1. If you have to level it up from level 1 it's not a sub-class. Plus it messes up your gear like it's a separate class BTW and a "Sub-class" shouldn't mess up your gear layout.
Another thing if I'm trying to make money like in Sega's case I wouldn't give you the ability to make one character into 4 classes. Depending on the first class you made it to be will determine the forth class (belive me it's not a "Sub-class"). I make all my characters from different classes so Sega already screwed itself out of 2500AC right there (500AC per extra character) in my case. I do now understand why they have "Item Pack Expansion +10" because of all the gear you'll have to carry around with the added Fighter, Gunner and Techer class your character will have.
This was not well thought out on Sega's part. They should have different gear layouts that you can save so you don't have to always switch the weapons and gear everytime you change your class with that one character. Once you switch classes your weapons and gear should be in the right place. Or maybe I'm just missing something here and it does this and I just haven't found it yet.
