Is 21.189.208.16 the server IP? because that's the only difference between your trace and mine, I have that IP in the 17th line, then nothing else, but... I can connect since the day they reopened the servers.

When did I say Sega is controlling what traffic gets out of Comcast and level 3? Where exactly? I said Sega is controlling which traffic it's allowing to reach their services. Even if twc has another backbone provider, it's really convenient that Verizon got "blacklisted" after most of the threat was gone and on the same day that twc got opened and just so happened to be the same day as maintenance. You got a different opinion, great, that's cool, no need to be a smart ass about it though.

210.189.206.16 is the game server, mhm.
I basically can reach the IP right before it in the tracert, but can't reach neither the game servers or the pso2 page.

Comcast user here, I suspected the 107 Error 'fix' is what it is... nothing... So this is why I am still unable to connect.

    Comcast Livechat Follow-Up:

    Spoiler!

Anyway, if this http://postmaster.comcast.net/block-...l-request.html means anything. I am just waiting for the response.

I'm still waiting for a response from comcast. I know for sure Comcast is definately blocking that website, because my tracert isn't leaving the PA comcast network period.

I can ping Yahoo.JP portal without problems (its the hop before the PSO2.JP server) - the IP that is blocking my request is this.

Did no one read what I said ): Already tried, it didn't work, because the site is not blocked. Also, my dude said almost the exact same thing as your dude. Specifically:

"Rest assured this will be the permanent resolution to our concern and no other steps are needed for you to do."

    I swear they're all robots.

go ahead and explain how tracert's to pso2.jp and gs016.pso2gs.net are dying at the comcast level, yet "It's neither Comcast nor level 3 the backbone". there are tracert's showing that this problem is NOT on sega's end, it is on the isp/backbone end of things.

this is a thread on comcast's inability to connect, as such the relevent issue at hand is that if you are on a comcast connection, you are null routed at the local level. this has nothing to do with sega. this means that your "sega is controlling which traffic reaches there server" comment is either random and unrelated to this thread, or is a direct response to the situation present in this thread, and you are directly implying that sega's actions are blocking the connections at the comcast/level 3 level.

also, i said it before and i'll say it again. you are flat out wrong that "sega controls what traffic reaches their servers". sega controls how they handle the traffic, but not if it gets to their server or not.
