The files for it are published on github. I was talking about hosting a private version the proxy itself on your own server.
There is one really important tip when dealing with computer software like this, even if you break it you can always reinstall. AWS doesn't charge you for more than one instance, they also don't charge you for deleting and recreating. If they did, I would have been charged a fortune with the tests that I have done on their instances. The issue comes down to what method did you use to create the server.
If you are using the original SSH method, you can create a new user which is more restrictive. You can then give that user name and password to your friend. That way the friend can't get full access to the system. If you have set up a VPN server, then it is even easier since you can allow more people to just log in.

so i can create 2 ec2 instances? and link that to my friend?
Graphics Designer/Product Designer/Illustrator/General handy guy/not taking any requests right now.
I click connect, but it doesn't give me a password. It's asking me to connect using an SSH Client. And remote desktop cannot connect to the public IP of my instance. When I right-click the instance, it's "Get Windows Password" greyed out.
Note: I already have an instance created like months before your post your guide.

I followed your guide Ana-Chan, and got the VPN working, connecting from my Windows 7. Thanks!
Works really well because PSO2 is the only program using the VPN, so as long as all other apps avoid connecting to ip ranges 210.189.0+, it shouldn't use any bandwidth outside of PSO2.
@Gama: If you check out http://aws.amazon.com/free/, it says
- 750 hours per month of Linux, RHEL, or SLES t2.micro instance usage
- 750 hours per month of Windows t2.micro instance usage
So if you have 1 Linux instance + 1 Windows instance, you have 2 instances running 24/7 for free, so your friend could use your other one (assuming you don't want any IP sharing). At least that's how I understand it.
But if you have 2 Linux instances running 24/7, you will start to get billed once their combined uptime exceeds 750 hours (31.5 days)/month.
Are you using a Linux instance?
As far as I know, you click "Connect" to get the password if you created a Windows instance only. For Windows instances, you need the password to connect to the server using Remote Desktop (Ana-Chan wrote up instructions on Page67). For Linux instances, you can use Putty to connect to (following OP's instructions). Not sure if that helps

Yeah, im using linux. Guess I can and a windows server ami.
Small tip for putty:
Connection > Data > Auto login username
You can type ec2-user there and thus only need to double click your proxy settings to access.
Welp windows force updated to 8.1 and now putty disconnects with
SSH2_MSG_CHANNEL_FAILURE
Oh right, anyone knows how to make this work with PSO2es? I can't access PSO2es unless using VPN. I'm using bluestacks.
Softether can make PSO2es connect in Bluestacks, but the speed is slow ><
Thank you very much
