Yeah, what Sizustar said. Use the bit I added to the guide for HBAO+ and switch it to enabled.

It looks like it's working to me :/ it isn't crazy strong like SSAO was (which is honestly not how its supposed to be, but tastes differ). Pay attention to corners, run against a wall, you should see it working.

You can also see it more clearly on some hairs and accessories, if you zoom in closer.

It's on, but since you're using the latest driver, then you're using HBAO+
Which is not as easy to see on character as SSAO.

If you want stronger AO, then you'll have to revert to driver version prior to 331.40
And you can try my setting in my flickr photo album.
