From what I tried to do, making the legs shorter, then increasing the character height actually make things way worse. The torso becomes super long and just plain wrong.
But like I said before, as far as I've seen, the arm length might be fine with the current body state, surprisingly enough. I just initially though it might have been wrong mostly because the body shape I'm using isn't too derived from one of the basic body shapes, although that shape had longer and thicker arms. Yeah, I might not have been that extremely original in a way, since my character's body isn't that massively different, although the face was a lot different.
I'll put up a picture of the basic body and face(well maybe I used another face as base, can't remember) set that I used as the base when I created my character.
Spoiler!
Aside from the face which got the most of the changes, all I had done when I made the character was making the arms thinner and shorter, as well as getting rid of that bust. Other than that, not that original, sorry.
(Though at least what I did wasn't as bad as some of the default shapes there were. Did they really had to all have those kinda huge busts? >_>)
