Hmmm, I don't like the idea. I'd prefer to do it captain-style. Each captain, in turn, chooses a willing ficcer from the pool. It's a bit, well, "I'm better than you!" but I feel it's necessary to achieve a good group fic.

That's true. Although it may be hard when it comes to choosing people.

Hmm...can you all clarify how this'll work?

So far, I got that captains will be elected, then those captains choose teams, etc.

So, how will ideas be discussed? Via PM between teammates? Within the threads themselves?

So far, I'm thinking if there are two teams, that would be two separate fic threads, plus possibly two separate discussion threads, plus the voting/judging thread?

However, long as it's under control, and relatively spam free, I'll allow it for now. Hopefully it will turn out as well as planned. Good luck in any case.

My own plan for my team (if ever) is this:

-We discuss of the fic we're gonna do in the vote-for-captains thread.
-We do the fic, where comments will be allowed in BOLD.
-Once both teams are done, we open a voting thread.

That's the way I'd do it.

My intention this weekend was to create another thread (for the sake of clarity but at the risk of too many threads though) where we would gather the names of all those participating and where contributors ONLY could discuss plot and format etc and teams would be announced.

This particular thread (discussion) would then be abandoned as would the captains vote thread on the 1st of march (voting deadline) because we would all move to that thread.

If anyone has objections to this plan then i'm open to suggestions.

Maybe we could actually set up temporary teams in the Team GUild area, and have people Mass Mail the team concerning plot and whatever.

Then again, some of us are already on a team, and it would force us to leave the team.... And other people couldn't just mass mail everyone else unless you made them administrators....

Just a thought, but the thread'll probably work best.
