So there is no skill involved in video games?

I fail to see any intelligence in your post.
Because there isn't any... At all.

Such a void of any, I think a few people got dumber from reading it.

ProTip: To damage your credibility, simply call any of the Phantasy Star games "massively-multiplayer."

Wow. Very funny, kent! Good job on making a lame comeback!

And no, video games have no real skills involved. Sorry that I don't sit around all day, every day wasting my life long enough to realise that. Sorry I have a life, dumbass.

Which is why you spend your time at a video game forum...

Skill: Proficiency, facility, or dexterity that is acquired or developed through training or experience.

Now, I would say that playing pso (or any game for that matter) for uncounted hours counts as training. And his ability to get to Ultimate with the speed at which he did definatly shows proficiency or facility at and with the game. I would say skill is involved. Infact, anywhing you make a concious attempt, anything you work on repeatedly over a period of time, to improve your ability in can be considered a skill. This means that if you feel that making the loudest burp possible is of incalcuable importance, so you spend every day trying to improve the tone, timbre, and length of your burps. That means you have elevated burping from a bodily function to a skill.

While it is doubtful that either of these skills (excelent PSO playing or world class burping) will pay the rent. They are things that can be considered skills.

I think when you use the word skill you are thinking along the lines of a Marketable Skill.

Well, I can see what you're trying to say. I played a Humar, a Hune and Fone at the same time, to try out and see what could work and what not. I also got to Ultimate very soon (DC player too) but I never dreamed that it was possible to clear the forest with a Pallash. I had to Foie my way through... (well, and Zonde, Barta as well)
