I was reading in my guide book and it says, "Attack Power increase as you defect enemies" Does this mean after a while the it will have the highest attack since if it's attack keeps going up you could do like 9999 a hit?

It gains 1 AP per 2 Beats, if I remember correctly. It reseta back to 0 AP Boost at 000 Beats.
It isn't based on kill, it is based on Beat Time.

it's 1 ATP every 4 beats.
