They just sound like re-hashed SOAD but to a lesser extent.
Here's to hoping the rest of the album(s) make up for it.
I have just listened to the whole new CD (except Radio/Video) and I have to say most of it is some good shtuff. It sounds nothing like any of the past albums though.
You can take that as a good thing or a bad thing.
Rock on. SoaD is the best heavy rock band in the history of heavy rock bands. Only new songs I've heard are Cigaro, BYOB, and Violent Pornography (a friend downloaded the whole album off Soulseek, I listened to one track) and they were all awesome.
Being the drummer that I am, Jon Dolmayan is one of my idols. Just for the record, the only other is Tommy Stuart (or Stewart, whatever) of Godsmack, who is a lot better, but the band over all isn't as good.

Yea, Cigaro, Violent Pornography, and This Cocaine Makes Me Feel Like I'm On This Song all do get annoying.
The rest though are pure yummy.
