Halo wasn't the revolutionary jump that the hype made it up to be. I have Halo for Xbox and PC. Reason? I got the Xbox version with my Xbox. But, for me, the real FPS are on PC. I just cannot play console FPS. Controllers don't have near the flexability or response of a simple keyboard and mouse. So yeah, I beat it. Yeah it had a storyline which is better than I can say about many FPS. But, it... didn't feel right, for some unexplainable reason. Maybe because it was designed to work on the Xbox's limited hardware? I dunno.

For me, I ended up playing Half-Life far more, even moreso after Halo. It just had that quality feel about it. I don't even know how many times I have played through single player of Half-Life and Half-Life 2. For Halo? Three times. Twice on PC, once on Xbox. The fun factor just isn't the same.

In the end I felt Halo was just overhyped and not what it was made out to be. Nothing really revolutionary about it, just more people played it on the consoles.

Cut and Paste levels, Bug Hunt Levels, Cut and Paste Bug Hunt Levels and that stupid Warthog race ending just didnt agree with me.

You could try metroid prime the first one for the gamecube its cheap 19.99$ and the controls are soo smooth, and it has the best menu desing i ever saw.
