it broke out
yeah buddy
My 32-bit XP old PC can't boot PSO2 anymore. When it's supposed to open the window, nothing happens at all.
I dual booted to Win7 and it worked immediately.
So whatever they did probably screwed 32-bit XP install.
Not important to me though. I just have the old PC around to run incompatible stuff.
Clearly it's a bug, and will be fixed with emergency maintenance.
I'm not really understanding what you guys mean. What do you mean "perfect client?"
To be fair, Window no longer support XP since a few years now. So unless Sega get a buttload of complaint, I don't see this change being reverted.
And @Crevox, perfect client mean = no loading lag or lag in general. Which include weapon switching from someone else in the mpa.

Tasia, GUHU/RA, RAHU or SUGU.
I don't mind them dropping support for old moldy stuff like XP. Tech has to progress someway.
Before the patch, the game loaded the client with random performance drops at start. You could either have a "bad client" with a huge FPS drop on weapon switch, huge area transition time, lag ... or a "good/perfect/god client" with close to 0 FPS drops, smooth game, and short area transitions.
So we constantly had to start the game to check how bad it was, close the game, restart .. and so on, until we could find a perfect or at least decent client.
Now the game doesn't seem to load "bad clients" anymore, this patch is better than porn for people who care about loading time/FPS drops.
You can read more about it in this thread: http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=228755
