Has anybody here set up their own server?

I'll do my best to tiptoe around the rules here. If I happen to break one, I'm sure Alex will be on it in a flash

The situation: Certain private servers have fallen on some tough times lately, for one reason or another. Besides this, there's always been the looming fact that once a server goes down completely, A. The game is unable to be played (duh)
B. All character data and the like is wiped.

The solution: Host my own server. One that would be open to myself, friends, and (potentially) interested PSO-W users.

The problem: Despite having the "tools" necessary to do such a thing, I lack the expertise to do so alone. Most sites forbid asking others for help setting up servers, and I'm sure PSO-W is no different. Instead, I ask: Has anyone here gone through this process in the past? If yes, are you feeling kind/generous? If you answered yes again, then please pm me.
