If you don't think that you can get a throw off or that you will get hit out of it, just change pets so it doesn't blow up on you. You will also not have to deal with the revive cooldown, either.

Since damage potential does not work on tact, we can already tell it will be for utility. They also mentioned the japanese weapons give a "boost" for solo EQ.
Somehow I doubt sega would let you trade with badge so it will probably be drop only.
EDIT: Really I want the 13* tact to have the same attack as the others but some ridiculous latent like +1500% technique damage. Then, not only do they solve the problem of atk on tacts, but they also make t-atk 15x as valuable.
What makes you say that? No tact at all has ever had a damage potential before. It's the atk that doesn't do anything, and that's because pets use their stats in place of your weapon stats, assuming that's even true, and not just very unnoticeable.
