HI.
It seems that people are having difficulties with Gemaga. I'm too lazy to post many times successively, so here's a brief (not really) guide to get you through Gemaga. Note that this method requires you use at least 4 EX Traps...well, for the normal spawns for A spawn.
This is mostly for Vanguards, so if you're not a Vanguard/Braver, take this guide with a grain of salt.
Oh, and bring a Scape Doll for insurance.
Here's a video of Gemaga gameplay, albeit inverted.
THE BASICS
Follow this URL: http://psp2.psupedia.info/Gemaga_-_War_of_the_Keep
Most of the enemies here use physical attacks, meaning that EVP is probably your best friend here.
As usual, eliminate tech users first.
Enemies only have 40% HP (unknown if true, can someone confirm?).
If you can, save Stun EX Traps for Shizuru, as it simplifies things a lot.
You may want to have a Freeze/Resist on. Also, if you're not a Vanguard, get a Sleep/Resist if you think you're going to have trouble with Shizuru.
RECOMMENDED WEAPONS/PAS
Double sabers + Gravity Dance
Twin sabers + Blade Destruction
Handgun/Rifle + whatever you want
Spear + Dus Skadd
Do NOT use any PA that knocks down/up on Shizuru. He'll immediately retaliate with a shockwave attack that most likely will kill you in one hit if you're not careful.
When swamped with enemies, use the double saber. On large enemies, if you have a light element spear, use that. If not, twin sabers. If not, good luck.
Assault Crush works well on the non-boss enemies. Just remember not to use in on Shizuru.
SPAWNS
Block 1
Buff yourself before touching the blue gate.
Spawn 1:
Rogue - Mazz x2
Rogue - Wikko x2
The Mazz's will circle behind you and attack, and the Wikko's will back up a little bit and begin throwing techs at you. Without EX Traps, this is probably one of the hardest spawns to fight. Take out the Wikkos as fast as possible, but watch out for the techs and don't let a Mazz take a hit at your back.
Alternatively, just throw down an EX Trap (Burn if you have it).
Spawn 2:
At this point you have a chance of getting a rare spawn/path. The normal, usual spawn here is labeled A, while the rare spawn will be B. This lasts for the whole run-through, as all spawns beyond this point will be changed.
A)
Rogue - Mazz x2
Little Wing - Rosk x3
All melee physical fighters. They'll charge up to you and attack immediately, not too dangerous unless you're taking several hits from the Rosks. Bring a ranged weapon, as the Rosks like to back up A LOT if you pursue them. Shoot them down; they won't charge at you again until they decide to attack again. Also, watch out for their looooooooong jump attack.
B)
Rogue - Mazz x2
Guardians - Rosk x3
These Rosks are ranged handgun shooters. Their HP is very low, but they can be annoying if they surround you. Take them down quickly, which shouldn't be a problem unless you're taking hits, and then deal with the Mazz's.
Spawn 3:
As soon as you dispatch the last enemy from the second spawn, the door will open and a wave of enemies will pop out.
A)
Rogue - Mazz x1
Little Wing - Rosk x4
(Reinforcements) Little Wing - Rosk x2
Try to rack up a chain with the double sabers as soon as they spawn. Breaking a chain of around 5 with Gravity Dance should be enough to wipe out most, if not all, of the initial spawn. Two more Rosks will pop out once anything else is killed, so don't assume you've eliminated all of them.
B)
Rogue - Mazz x1
Guardians - Rosk x4
(Reinforcements) Guardians - Rosk x2
This is probably easier than the normal spawn, if you pull it off correctly. Try getting the jump on them the moment the door opens, hit a 3 chain, break the chain with Gravity Dance and you have 5 downed Rosks. The Mazz will probably still be alive but he's easy to deal with. If you can't get there in time, or if the Rosks spread out too quickly, carefully pick them off one at a time, making sure to be able to jump out of any bullet's path aimed at your back.
Warp
Buff yourself right before the warp. If everything went smoothly, your buffs from before starting the mission should just barely have made it through.
BLOCK 2
Watch out for the traps on the floor. Asides from that, nothing else really stands out here.
Spawn 1:
Little Wing - Rosta x3
This is the same for both A and B paths. These guys are easy; just be careful that they don't get you from behind.
Spawn 2:
A)
Dilnazen x1
A single large enemy. No big deal. Just watch out for his flying punches.
B)
SEED - Ardite x1
Basically the same, but much more of a pain in the ass. He likes to back up a lot, and that lunging punch doesn't do much more than potentially ruin your chain, as he's invincible as he magically flies forward. Watch out especially for his spinning-attack-of-faggyness and his Barta/Gibarta attacks, both of where he punches the ground.
Spawn 3:
Enemies will spawn behind you, so don't bother leaping over that floor trap just yet.
A)
Little Wing - Rosta x3
Guardians - Rosta x2
Eliminate the Guardians - Rosta as fast as you can. These little bitches love to cast Barta with an amazingly high freeze rate. I recommend dropping a Burn EX Trap on these idiots, as it'll actually carry over and eliminate most of the next spawn.
Thankfully, the Guardians don't have much health, but one trick they have is that the Barta can hit immediately behind them and can fire at weird angles, so don't get too close.
B)
Little Wing - Rosta x3
Little Wing - Rosk x2
Easier than the normal spawn. Deal with them normally.
Spawn 4:
A)
Dilnazen x1
Guardians - Rosta x2
If you dropped a Burn EX Trap earlier, these guys will spawn right on top of the still-going EX Trap. The Rosta should either lose almost all their health or they'll be dead. Either way, you've successfully burned all of these guys. Cleaning up will be easy.
If you didn't drop an EX Trap, ignore the Dilnazen and kill those Rosta fast. If they manage to freeze you you're guaranteed to lose a Scape Doll here.
B)
SEED - Ardite x1
Little Wing - Rosk x2
Get rid of the small fry first while avoiding the Ardite. Once they're down, focus on the Ardite. Not too bad.
Spawn 5:
Once the last enemy is downed, just like in Block 1 that large door will open and enemies will appear. Rebuff quickly.
A)
Little Wing - Rosta x5
(Reinforcements) Little Wing - Rosta x2 + Guardians - Rosta x2
I recommend dropping an EX Trap on these guys. It'll kill both the initial spawn and their reinforcements. If not, kill the first wave as fast as you can before focusing on banging the Guardians.
B)
Little Wing - Rosta x5
(Reinforcements) Little Wing - Rosta x2 + Little Wing - Rosk x2
Easier than the A spawn. Take your time and pick them off normally. Or drop an EX Trap.
Spawn 6:
You'll have to jump over that trap wire thing on the floor now.
Both spawns pop up in a '+' formation, to the right for some odd reason.
LW-R = Little Wing - Rosta
Other = Guardians - Rosta for A spawn, Little Wing - Rock for B spawn
(Other)
(LW-R) (LW-R) (LW-R)
(Other)
A)
Little Wing - Rosta x3
Guardians - Rosta x2
(Reinforcements) Little Wing - Rosta x2
Deal with the Guardians first, as usual. A Little Wing - Rosta will appear behind the formation near the locked fence when an enemy from the first + spawn dies. This happens twice. Avoid getting caught in the middle, or just drop an EX Trap smack in the middle of the group.
B)
Little Wing - Rosta x3
Little Wing - Rosk x2
(Reinforcements) Little Wing - Rosta x2
Easy, once again. No worries here, just don't get surrounded as usual.
Spawn 7:
A)
Dilnazan x2
No biggie. Just don't let one get behind you.
B)
SEED - Ardite x2
This can be a bitch if you don't kill these two fast. Hit them fast and hard, watching out for random Bartas. It's very hard to predict the spinny-attack here, so for the sake of time you can drop a Burn EX Trap to kill them both off.
The key
A key will spawn right behind the trap line thing. DON'T PICK IT UP YET. That will activate a huge moving trap (that's the red box you see on your radar) and smack you around for about a fourth of your health. Heal and rebuff, then grab the key, jump over the trap, open the fence, and enter one of the two warps.
If this is your first Gemaga run-through, you only have one warp available, which leads to the Vol Brothers. If not, head into the bottom one, and prepare for Shizuru x3.
VOL BROTHERS
It's probably best to use a spear here.
These guys are damned annoying, even more so than Shizuru x3. Take out the afro'd Force first, but watch out for his techniques. If you have Stun EX Traps, use them on this kid. Once he falls, the rest of the battle is much easier. Focus on the black guy with the guns next, and lastly the fatso with the knuckles. Make sure you don't get surrounded.
The black guy's bullets can freeze as well.
Occasionally, the Vol Brothers, no matter how many are left, will 'combine' and start shooting...stuff...around the place randomly, kind of like those twin bosses in Neudaiz. Stay away until they stop. Credit goes to Mr. Lancelot (Ren) for this, as I've actually never seen this happen...
DICK X3...UH, SHIZURU X3
Use whatever does the most damage in the shortest amount of time - in other words, a spear or twin saber. You also may want to get a Sleep/Resist on if you're not using EX Traps.
This fight is basically the same as the 9-3 Story Mode fight, just with a fixed camera angle and a smaller area to fight in, but easier. His shockwave can't stun.
The leader Shizuru has Deband and Shifta already casted on him that are linked to the clones, so kill them first. While the Deband clone is alive, he's also invulnerable to all damage except traps...so drop some EX Traps! Stun is preferred, as it stuns his two copies. 3 consecutive EX Traps will kill off the two copies, leaving just the main Shizuru with a high Chain (unless he teleported away). Proceed to kill him, remembering not to use knock-up/down attacks. Just watch out for his Megiverse and Megid attacks, and kill him before he pulls out his guns (shouldn't be too hard when he's chipped down to less than 3/4 health).
If you didn't use an EX Trap...well, good luck. Eliminate the clones first while dodging their Megid barrage and carefully making sure none of the Shizuru's get behind you. Once you get both of them down, focus on the main one.
Be warned, though, that he probably will pull out his guns and fire everywhere, doing large amounts of damage. Before he does this he'll display his weapons behind him and immediately fire. These bullets ignore EVP, so if you get hit full-on you're probably dead. He also attacks faster, but all other shots can be avoided by sticking close to him. He'll only shoot unless he teleports, which will be followed by rapid slashing with both of his guns (gunblades?).
If you manage to survive the gun mode, he'll switch out to dagger nuke mode. He'll start off with teleporting behind you and attacking with a weak dark attack that has a high chance of sleeping you, so watch out for that. After that, he'll start swinging his dagger around, making huge explosions that do huge damage if you get hit. They're easy to predict, but after a few swings he'll teleport behind you again. Eventually he'll cycle back to the single saber mode.

Dear god, that was long.
