Yes, actual kung-fu... except exaggerated in the way only South Koreans (and their Japanese compatriots) can manage.

With the art direction of Hyung-Tae Kim and some of the most innovative combat mechanics anywhere in the MMO sphere, this thing is really something to look forward to. Everything about it is 100% Eastern Oriental - that is to say, it is nothing like anything you've ever played before. This is no medieval fantasy - there are no elves, no dwarves, minimal armor, no griffins or dragons or any of that boring ol' claptrap.

The game bunks many MMO tropes, with 3-man parties(!), no dedicated healers(!), no tab-targeting(!), no auto-attack(!), tons of attacks that affect your opponent in unique ways (from take-downs to grapples to tossing them around like rag dolls), a unique death system, a unique travel system, and still more besides.

Needless to say, I am excited. I am also sad that, realistically, we won't see this game on our shores until 2012. But at least there's plenty of sweet videos to mull over until then!

Man, this is looking good. But for some reason I am totally convinced of getting Tera once it's out. But this looks at last as good if not better, hnnggg.
