There are some various notable video game deals running this weekend, including a great deal on Phantasy Star Portable. There are multiple retailers involved, so we've thrown everything into one big list for your convenience. Here's a summary of what is currently available (note: most of these deals end today or Sunday):
Some of these stores are offering other less noteworthy titles, so you may want to browse around a little, but the above list should cover most of the worthwhile offers. We'll update the list if anything else turns up (note: Amazon will be running at least one new deal tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that). Happy gaming!
For those of you who missed out on some of the great deals offered on Friday and throughout the weekend, there is hope for you yet. Amazon will be running video game specials all day, as part of Cyber Monday (kind of like the Internet-only version of Black Friday). As with Friday, they are running a number of Lightning Deals throughout the day.
They also have a great deal for Playstation 3 owners, offering a free $20 PSN card with select games. These select titles include games like Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, Killzone 2, God of War Collection, Infamous, Resistance, and more.
In addition, they are continuing to offer some great prices on various other games. Some of these were offered in earlier deals, so you can still get them at comparable prices if you missed out. Here's a list of what I spotted:
If you spot any other good ones while browsing the site, let us know. These deals are for today only and the prices will likely go back up once the sale is over. Enjoy!
Amazon.com has matched a deal offered by Best Buy and has slashed prices on a number of Xbox 360 and PS3 games to just $34.99. Not sure how long this deal will last, so if there's a title you want, grab it now! Here's the list of $34.99 games:
Some great prices on a lot of new games (and free shipping / no tax for most states). Get them while they last!
Edit: Looks like the sale is over, for the 360/PS3 versions anyway. Some of the titles are still $39.99, in case you missed out. They also have the Wii versions of some of the games on sale now for $29.99. In addition, Amazon has started up yet another great deal, offering a free $20 PSN card with select PS3 games!
If you're anything like me, you probably have no interest in camping out for Black Friday deals at the nearest retailer. Luckily, Amazon is having some nice deals on video games all day and you don't even have to leave the house.
As of right now, a couple of my picks are Borderlands (PC) for $19.99 and Left 4 Dead 2 for $39.99. They also have Dragon Age: Origins (360) for $44.00 (PC Version $34.99).
In addition to these deals, which are available all Friday (or until they sell out), there a number of Lightning Deals available throughout the day. Currently being offered are Batman: Arkham Asylum for $29.99, The World Ends With You (DS) for $9.98, and some others. Keep an eye out as it looks like there may be some deals coming down the pipeline for Assassin's Creed II, Fallout 3 (possibly GOTY edition), and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, as well as many other titles.
Edit: The first batch of Lightning Deals has expired. A new batch containing Forza 3, Kingdom Hearts, and possibly Halo 3 ODST will start up at 11:30AM EST.

Just a reminder that the official soundtrack for Phantasy Star Zero is out there and available for ordering, though it looks like this one may remain a Japan-exclusive release for the time being. The soundtrack, consisting of a whopping four discs, includes 106 tracks worth of Phantasy Star goodness. If you're craving the sounds of Zero while you're not spending countless hours in the game (or maybe you just need something new to listen to while playing your other favorite Phantasy Star games), head on over to PlayAsia, where they are currently offering 10% off for a limited time. Thanks to Cranberry for the news tip!
According to the latest issue of Famitsu, a Phantasy Star Zero mini game will be making an appearance on Nintendo's DSiWare download service. The game, appropriately titled "Phantasy Star Zero Mini", will feature a score attack mission in which players will run through Gurhacia Valley and ultimately face off against the Rayburn.
The DSiWare title will have the same online functionality as the full game, including chat and wireless play. However, it currently looks like there is not a way to play the game with your Phantasy Star Zero character. Instead, players will take on the mission using one of three pre-selected characters. At a mere 200 DSi Points ($2 US), though, "Mini" will hopefully be a fun treat and a great way to lure new players into the full Zero experience! Phantasy Star Zero Mini is slated to arrive on DSiWare in Japan sometime this March, while a US release date is currently unknown. A big thanks to our tipsters for the story! Update: Thanks to Japanese fan site Shougai PSO, some details concerning this mini-game have been cleared up. The three selectable characters are Ogi, Kai and Sarisa, and Gurhacia Valley serves as the field for this adventure. As players make their way through the area, they will face other enemies such as Gawls and Galapythons, until they reach the boss, a large dragon known as Rayburn.
