Recently detailed on the official forums and Japanese homepage, there will be a rather large update for PSU on Xbox 360 this week!
- New Year Special Week: Until March 1, the following upgraded missions will have a Golden Light bonus. EXP will be boosted on these missions.
- Military Subway: S2 and S3 difficulties will be added.
- Bruce's Dungeon: C-A will be upgraded from PSU to AOTI standards. S3 difficulty will be added. GUARDIANS Branch standby areas will be updated to allow a player to view their best S3 time.
- Protectors ε' C-S3: An extra stage GAM will become available at the Resident Security Department. This mission is very similar to Protectors ε from the Spring Event, however it has had its completion rewards reduced.
- Extra: A new standby area will be added for the extra stage GAM.
- Chronicles HQ: This prologue mission from GUARDIANS Chronicle will remain available in a permanent form so that players can still redeem their individual milestone rewards.
- Eleventh GAS wave: Also known as JP's tenth GAS wave, this set includes the following additions.
- Weapon skills: Critical+ LV1-2 will be available for all ranged and TECHNIC weapons (except for RCSMs). These customizations allow for an increase in critical hit rate of 2-3%.
- Photon Art adjustments: Various changes will be made to striking and TECHNIC PAs.
- Spinning Break: Increased power for second and third parts. One additional target for first part.
- Tornado Break: Increased power and accuracy. Two additional targets for first part, one additional target for second part.
- Bogga Zubba: Increased power. Two additional targets.
- Bukuu Rensen-ga: Increased power and accuracy. One additional target for second part.
- Shunbu Shouren-zan: One additional target for first part, two additional targets for second part.
- Senten Kanzan-ga: Increased accuracy.
- Enemy TECHNICs: The listed changes to TECHNICs also apply to enemies that use them.
- Valentine's Day Lobbies: Clyez City will be decorated in celebration of Valentine's Day. This decor will last until March 1 and so will appearances of Rappy Amure. During this time, BT Box will be available at the Variety Shop.
- Casino Voloyal: There will be a standard rotation of items here.
GUARDIANS Chronicle panel rewards will be available after a future maintenance.
Update: As noted on JP's homepage, the RSD update that was mentioned by JP (new items for Special Exchange 2) did not make it into this update. On the EN side, GM Edward noted that a few new items are currently missing descriptions. These are some of the random rewards for Bruce's Dungeon S3.

Thanks to PSOW member Jonathan_F, we have recordings of the recent PSO2 presentations that took place at the Akihabara PC Game Festival. These presentations were broadcast on Ustream last night. Both feature producer Satoshi Sakai along with a guest for each.
The first presentation's guest is sound director Hideaki Kobayashi. Key moments include the game's opening movie at 8:45 and a new trailer at 23:20. Follow this link for the opening by itself.
The second presentation's guest is game director Yuya Kimura. This one features much more game footage. It shows off player rooms, shops, weapon upgrading, and new character customization features. Naturally, many of the changes to the game's UI are also shown in this one.
The second alpha test will feature some of the recently shown additions. My Room and Item Lab will be available, however Mags and certain new areas will not.
For more discussion of these presentations, head over to this forum thread.

The fall update for Xbox 360 launches today. Here are some of the new features:
- Dashboard Redesign - The dashboard has been changed to use Microsoft's current Metro interface. This includes updates to most/all current apps. Additionally, Kinect users have many more capabilities for gesture and voice control.
- Bing Search - Users can search for content wherever it may be available. For example, searching for a show or movie will bring up any current location (whether it be in Zune/Netflix/etc.).
- Roaming Profiles - This feature replaces the necessity of recovering a profile to a console. One can simply log in on another system.
- Cloud Storage - Essentially, this functions like a digital memory card that you can access from anywhere. However, it is a Gold exclusive feature. Users who let their memberships expire will still be able to access those saves, but can't upload new ones.
- Beacons - These are similar to game invites, but are persistent. It is possible to flag interest in a game or application and have it come up where relevant. For example, a user will be notified when someone on their friends list starts a game that they have set.
- Xbox Companion - Windows Phone now features an app that can be used to integrate with the Xbox. It can be used to search for content, make purchases, view friends list data, and even control the system to a degree.
In addition to the update, a large number of entertainment applications are starting to roll out. Check the link for all the various apps for different countries and their estimated release. It would appear that many of them do require a Gold account to use, although this doesn't appear to be detailed.
Update: While not as capable as the Windows Phone one, an official app has been introduced for iOS.
