Guides - Aimee's Guide To Time Attack In Challenge Mode

Aimee's Guide To Time Attack In Challenge Mode
a) 1 on 1 to avoid damage cancel......if two or more players attack the same enemy some of the damage each player deals is canceled this is evident when a ranger attacks with a hucast, often the rangers weaker damage is registered hence killing that enemy is prolonged so one on one is a must.

b) Utilize scape dolls........Forces are very powerful on GC esp in caves and mines and at the start of c7 when hunters struggle to hit with swords. Its no good a hunter finishing with all 3 scape dolls when they could have given some to the force to 'TP DIE' allowing the force to attack a great deal of the time...hence hunters drop scape dolls to forces in TA (time attack) and ideally forces should have 1 doll or 0 and no fluid left at the end of any stage thereby having used the maximum fluid available....this is often difficult to time....but being dropped 6 dolls on c7 which makes 9 including your own 3 and finishing with 5 means you could have attacked more as a force and you have not used all the fluid available to you.

c) A good map......if the map turns out to be good, replays of the map are often done for various reasons

i) To get higher% weapons or to get them sooner than on previous attempt or/and better tech discs for the force/s...resulting in faster time

ii) To make graves at the start (some teams do this automatically) most wait until it is agreed that the map warrants it.........this is done to supply force/s with extra fluids.....there are enough mono/ dimates to enable hunters to get through so if monomates turn up someone dies until the graves give up mon or difluids.

d) Dim weapons..... some teams will play to find these especially on c4 for pan arms, or if ranger is present in team, hit % on a dim weapon can be devastating in caves.......finding these weapons at the right % can take quite a time...few time attack teams are enthusiastic about rangers in ruins/mines stages.

Ideal Items And Basic Strategy
The teams listed are generally accepted to be the best combinations though it is not a problem to use other classes and still get excellent times, but most TA teams still prefer HUcasts to Hunewearls esp in c6 and c9 (hucasts can use busters and pallasch) and very few ask for Rangers........

ABOVE ALL ELSE YOU MUST FIGHT ONE ON ONE

FORCES USE EXTRA DOLLS TO DELIBERATELY DIE FOR FULL TP BAR

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ALL MATS ARE GIVEN TO THE RIGHT CLASS AND FORCES BE PREPARED TO DROP MONO/DIMATES TO HUNTERS WHEN NEEDED

ALL PLAYERS SHOULD KNOW THE MAP AND SWITCH PUZZLES YOU NEED TO LEARN THESE BEFORE ENTERING OR MAKING TIME ATTACK TEAMS

ITEMS IN SIDE ROOMS ARE GENERALLY IGNORED, BREAKING OF BOXES WHILE ENEMIES ARE PRESENT IS FROWNED UPON THOUGH SOME HUNTERS WILL IN C3 ESP IF THEY STILL HAVE SWORD EQUIPED.

C1
Recommended Team: 3 Hunters 1 fo

Tips: Hunters keep dolls need for dragon as it often kills instantly on landing.High % saber but preferably pow mats and daggers are needed,Barta and zonde for force. All power mats should be given to one hunter (HUcast/HUcaseal) so they can equip daggers if found.....

Dragon.......the dragon fight is much shorter and you can stop him getting into the air if High % weapons have been found (usually done through retries of a good map). To avoid damage cancel most teams fight one hunter to each leg,one on dragons head with the force using barta when the dragon is on the ground, zonde when it is in flight.

Time: 8 mins or lower

C2
Recommended Team: 3 FOnewearls 1 Hunter

Tips: This is the best combination for a good time on a good map, graves are needed at the start to provide extra fluid for the forces and the hunter needs to drop his scape doll so as one force can 'die for TP'.

Also possible to get excellent time with ranger instead of hunter esp dim weapon with hit found.Nano dragons should be left to forces to kill in caves unless no force happens to be near, If force and hunter attack at same time damage cancel occurs taking longer to kill the nano and often allowing dragon to fire.

Time: 20 mins or lower

C3
Recommended Team: 2 FOnewearls 2 Hunters (some try 3 forces 1 hunter)

Tips: Hunters drop their doll so both forces have 2 dolls. Hunters at the start of c3 are poor with a sword so finding a brand etc as soon as possible is a must.

Slimes must be left to Hunters to kill the hunter with the stongest brand should attack it but must not split the slime by 3 using a 3 combo attack.

Time: 20 mins or lower

C4

Recommended Team: 2 FOnewearls 2 hunters

Tips: Hunters drop dolls so forces have 4 dolls each, dim weapon with hit% speeds up pan arm killing bit if none present forces tech pan arms to death, hunters must not hit at this time as they register 0 or much lower damage and cancel out some of the forces high tech damage on the pan arm.

2 quick brands and gizonde/gifoie speed up c4 quite a bit, high % autogun excellent for hucaseal.

Time: 22 mins or lower

C5
Recommended Team: 2 FOnewearls 2 hunters

Tips: Again hunters drop both dolls, forces drop mono/dimates to hunters when needed, gizonde speeds up challenge, very high % hit and attribute Autogun good for hucaseal. Andriods using ice traps when clusters of enemies especially dark room. In dark rooms most teams will fight in the dark instead of going for the switch or in the case of c7 standing on the switch as it means time will be lost...there are a few exceptions such as in c9.

Time: 20 mins or lower

C6
Recommended Team: 2 FOnewearls 2 hunters (hucasts for buster use/HUcaseal high mech) or 3 hunters 1 FOnewearl

Tips: Hunters drop both dolls to force/s, high % busters needed asap for hucast. Androids conserve ice traps for Garanz freeze and attack (best from rear) if no traps left attack anyway (remember its low time your after) no good running around far too time consuming.
Dubchic stongest hunter attacks solo some forces hit with a tech while on floor (needs timing)

Boss battle: High % weapons for boss cuts time down considerably.

Time: 28mins or lower

C7
Recommended Team: 1 force 3 Hunters

Tips: Some still prefer Fonewearl others FOnewm for high level tech boost ie rafoie.
Hunters drop 2 dolls to force giving force 9 dolls.

Hunters are poor with gigush so at the start until hunters find weapons force has added responsibility. Delsabers slow the map down considerably so it is up to the force to barta them to death and to zonde belras until hunter has buster.

Once a hunter has a buster he should be left on the belra alone as hitting it with say a gigush from another hunter will cause damage cancel. The hunter with the best buster should be left to attack the belra if more belras present then hunters fight one on one, when hunter with best % buster has killed the belra he was fighting he should then be allowed to attack another belra and the hunter who was attacking that belra should stop hitting it.

Androids should use ice traps on delsabers especially when a number of delsabers are present.
Its essential for forces to 'TP DIE' a number of times and to time tp usage. In the ruins stages if a force finds grants disc then the damage to belras is very high.

Most time attack teams know and use the various shortcuts in challenge mode one exists in c7 3 rd stage where the rocks and wire fence are it is possible to go through the right hand side saving considerable time.
**note**
IN most time attack teams the force restas infrequently using most of the fluid for attacking in some games it is not unkown for forces to use no resta in ruins stages.

Time: 28mins or lower

C8

Recommended Team: 1 force 2 hucasts 1 hucaseal

Tips: Hunters each drop 2 dolls to force giving force 9 dolls (force drops mon/dimate when needed to hunters). A must to go 4 weapon way route, a weapon can often be 'stolen' back due to lag from one of the switches nearest door.

Remember to keep weapons for switches.

Chaos bringers should be attacked using HHH hit combination.

Hucaseal power with high % lockgun can be devastating so she is to be given any arms that are found.

3 and 1 split at final area for switches after opening door with 8 weapons.

Time: 26 mins or lower

C9

Recommended Team: 1 force 2 hucasts 1 hucaseal

Tips: first area after second room force drops mag for light switch and goes to collect items (most TA teams collect these items, though few ignore).

One player should go for shield in room after dark room as this will be needed for shortcut in final area 8 shields 8 weapons needed so remember to keep those type of items.

Grants is an excellent find for force does high damage on belras and Dark Falz final stage (ball).

Again it is imperative to find good early % weapons pallasch for hucasts any power mats should be given to the weakest hunter in the team to allow them to have the chance to use pallasch in this case power mats would be given to hucaseal.

Assaults are good for hucaseal at high % and it is also possible to railgun if arms are found, guns are only to be equiped if they are high % hit and attribute and damage cancel should be avoided.

In c9 dolls are dropped to force at the end before going into boss chamber. All HP mats must be given to force on this stage to allow it a greater chance to survive Dark Falz attacks. Most Hunters drop 2 dolls to the force and keep 1 thats providing they have nt used any en route.

Time: 30 mins or lower

notes
Time:= is around general average that players make when giving a time target.

Main thing is too have fun, if you use a ranger or a hunewearl for that matter several TA teams won't make you welcome it sucks but there you have it, If you join a time attack team try to make sure you are the class they are asking for its better to play in a team cause the amount of time spent waiting can be too much for a lot of players.
