I don't personally know, but I'm pretty sure that it works the moment you release the tech. Support techs (barring Zondeel/Zanverse/Megiverse) do not change the element. The element % will be the same as your weapon's current %.

Correct. The instant the tech is charged (not casted), i.e. when the gear gauge is boosted, is when the element is switched (except for a few support techs).
Element %, however, I don't know. If that's the case, then there'd be no reason to switch element on an elementless weapon.

I bet this was explained in that tutorial popup the first time you switch to bouncer, but as it was in japanese I couldn't make heads or tails of it, which is why I finally decided to ask here. I was casting the tech after charging then hitting shift.. which releases the element back to its orignal, I didn't know better and so I asked in-game on the pso2proxy chat and no one seemed to know.

The potential will probably not increase too significantly, I would say no more than 30% of freezing ability because if that where to happens every third hit on a monster will freeze it and that would be too over power. just imagine if hitting a mob three times and freezing the entire group.

But potential may be more of 10% 15% and 20% maybe this would be more plausible because every fifth hit would freeze a monster and that would not be too over power and it would be quite fair.

So, I have been using the Tweaker + Proxy for a day now, and it was all looking good. Right now I think it's just a matter of waiting for the Proxy to update after each maintenance that's a bit of a setback.

A smaller issue I can't help but notice is that some of the text in the game has been translated, even though I have no translation patches on and installed (apparently with the latest version of Tweaker, Item Translation doesn't have to be checked, so I unchecked it). Examples of translated words are the small green text on the minimap that says Multi, and the names of the blocks, which are all in English.

Is anyone else experiencing this, and is there any way to revert all of that to Japanese?

Non-primary ATKs on weapons can be used through via PAs that relies on another ATK source.

No Assault Rifle, Launcher, or Twin Machinegun attacks use S-ATK. Literally everything they do uses R-ATK, even stuff like Crazy Smash or Dead Approach. S-ATK on those weapons only get used for Photon Blasts that calculate using your S-ATK, which you are unlikely to be using in the first place. In other words, the S-ATK is almost purely for aesthetic purposes.

In general, if a weapon has an ATK stat it does not normally have, it is useless. It cannot use that stat. The only exception is T-ATK, but you have to have access to techs to use the T-ATK on the weapon. Most non-tech weapons with T-ATK have a meager amount, though there are some exceptions.

If you want to be support, then TE should be main, as the main boost to support Tech require a TE main.

Otherwise Te/Hu, Te/Fi, or Te/Br might be better. If you try to do support as a secondary thing it's just gonna be really tedious and you'll be automatically obsolete in the presence of Te mains. All of Te's good support skills, that actually make the play style bearable and usable, are main class only.

Te/Hu, Te/Fi, or Te/Br. Force is the only class that has any business subbing Techer, and it sure isn't for the support skills.

As far as skills to use, Shifta Strike, Deband Toughness, Long Time Assist, Territory Burst, and Super Treatment are the main support skills to get. Super Treatment and Deband Toughness are optional, the other three are musts. Deband Cut is good too, Shifta Critical is 1 SP at the very most, and the Advance skills should be no more than 5.

Support benefits yourself as well so all of the support that would be useful to an MPA would be useful to you as a solo player as well.

I went fighter/techer.

It really is amazing, but its SUPER EXPENSIVE if you want to do melee support but its capabilities are there. Its what I play actually. ^_^

While you won't be getting the typical 1100 - 1200+ base S-ATK if you went through two classes with Dominant Stats being the same, done right and geared right you end up with
1100 - 1200 base health (1600+ w/ drinks + Deband Toughness from friend Partner or another techer casting it) and, 700+ S-ATK, T-ATK, DEX.

Combined with fully customized techs, two to three subpalletes...

The level of flexibility and the kind of damage and multilpliers you get is unreal for a support character. ;)

(yeah...I'm a wand-wacking fighter/techer with 5 wands brought over so far...I have around 6 more to go) :P

I'm pretty sure there isn't a shortcut for changing book. You need to do that manually. Numpad keys 7-9 switch between the subpalettes in your current book, though. If you're on book 2, they won't change to book 1.

Here's the thing. Techer main works exactly that way, but better. The superior support is for yourself just as much as it is for everyone else. Limit Break and Fighter weapons are the only reasons to go Fi/Te over Te/Fi.

Here's the thing. Techer main works exactly that way, but better. The superior support is for yourself just as much as it is for everyone else. Limit Break and Fighter weapons are the only reasons to go Fi/Te over Te/Fi.

That's what I said was it not? Fi/Te for LB and Crit Strike. Techer main has better support techs, Fighter is better at smacking and proccing, and it doesn't mysteriously lose its support techs completely just because it's a subclass.

The question is the whether the definition of "melee with support" somehow means "support with melee" but that's up to the OP to decide.

I'm pretty sure there isn't a shortcut for changing book. You need to do that manually. Numpad keys 7-9 switch between the subpalettes in your current book, though. If you're on book 2, they won't change to book 1.

I'm experimenting with streamlining my setup so I have stances and items on one palette, melee/ranged on another and magic on the third.
But book01, palette 1 is used for bots. I may have to just swap palettes whenever I update my bots.

I figured out the Sub Palette problem. It was as I thought, and a JP friend helped me confirm:

If you change Books and then try to use the numpad shortcuts, it won't acknowledge the Book change UNLESS you open your Weapon Palette and change Sub Palette there.
Then the game will "update" itself and remember what Book you're on. I thought I tried it earlier today and it didn't work. Maybe I was lagging.

Pretty stupid and annoying, but whatever.
The friend suggested using the chat command stuff. Haven't tried that yet.

Limit Break is the only one of those things that you can do as a Fi/Te that you can't as Te/Fi.

You can't seriously be defending the absence of Long Time Assist/Shifta Strike/Deband Toughness. Without Long Time Assist, your Shifta/Deband is useless for supporting others and barely lasts on yourself. Without Shifta Strike, you and the entire MPA lose out on 10% more damage. Without Deband Toughness, you and everyone in the MPA are more fragile and less capable of utilizing super armor.

The only thing you named that you can do as a Fi/Te that you can't as a Te/Fi is Limit Break + Halfline Boost. Te/Fi does everything else you named better than Fi/Te. Fi/Te essentially has completely inferior support to everything a Techer main can do.

So why run it for support? You're doing yourself and everyone you party with a disservice by going Fi/Te instead of Te/Fi.

I run three techer trees. We are talking about two different things. You are talking about Endgame MPAs (Loser/Elder, etc) and going in there as full support. I am talking about "Melee Support" Hybrid, while you are talking about full support.

I have a full support Techer/Ranger build with Weak Bullet and Jellen Shot. To me the best "Support" you can do is to fire Weak Bullet + Jellen Shot against a boss...and then put Zanverse and megiverse on the ground....and then you can watch the damage of the other 11 players actually proc on your zanverse (making you the most overall damage contributor in the battle).

So I would never run Techer/Fighter, when Techer/Ranger is the best support you will see in an Endgame fight...Specially since Jellen Shot + Deband Cut + Deband Toughness goes far.

...and if players are seasoned enough they would know to KEEP ON FIGHTING because as long as they can TAKE ONE HIT (and they will with Jellen Shot + Deband Cut + Deband Toughness) the can hit the boss once and recover all their health instead of trying to RUN AWAY AND RECOVER...forcing me to cast resta on them.

My Melee Support Fighter/Techer is a very special build that is not 100% ALL IN SUPPORT, nor 100% ALL in melee. Instead there is a synergy between Melee Attacks and Support techs that actually HELP everyone around you, because it is part of my own style so it does not get in anyones way...

My wand attacks hit for 5-digit numbers under certain conditions. however I also have the fighter weapons as well as gunslash. I have a balance of what I want...and love this style of playing.

Its like the original PSO when I can kill with a normal attack or heavy attack.

When I walk around killing trash mobs on SHAQs on Floating Continent with simply one normal attack (or JA) on an Ex-Wand 10350....and large enemies die in two to three hits. :) It makes me happy...considering it uses 0 PP to make the kill...and its no-nonsense.

I can't stand long animation cycles where a mob dies at the beginning of an animation and then I have to wait a million years for the animation to end.

You do a great disservice to yourself if you want to run pure support while playing alone.....

Regarding the discussion above, I really don't understand why people would play Fi/Te over Te/Fi. Critical Strike seems pointless, seeing as you lose Shifta Strike which gives almost the same damage bonus, except for everyone in the group. You can already use Fighter weapons as Te/Fi if you want to, especially since crafted double sabers and twin daggers get enough bonus DEX to match non-crafted weapons. All you get is Limit Break for a slight extra melee damage boost and better PP regen, at the cost of supporting others offensively with Shifta Strike, supporting yourself and others with Deband Toughness, and supporting yourself and others with Long Time Assist (buffs are pretty useless without it). I don't see the point of Limit Break for a Techer, as wands are powerful enough to one-shot groups already, and techs are better DPS for single targets, and you already get plenty of PP regen from Techer skills.

you shoot banish arrow on any spot of the enemy, then you do as many dmg as you can (preferably on weakspot for highest dmg) for 7 second, and after 7 second, the banish will explode dealing as much dmg you dish on that 7 second.

The reason why that is happening is because of lack of weak bullet. A Ra/Br can only do that much damage after weak bullet is shot.

Weak bullet is a Ranger skill that lowers the defense of monster.
Weak bullet requires a rifle to be used and once used you should see this target sniping circle on the monster. that is what most Ra/br hit to deal 500k of damage.

When reviewing some of the videos of Ra/Br; they always have a rifle that fires a couple of rounds and then they start the Final Nemesis process.

I had trouble with this too, but after learning the power of weak bullets lots of boss' battles became way too easy except for Dark Falz Luther or Loser as the English patch called him.

If you have not invested any skills in weak bullet your Ra/Br is not going to be very effective.

I recommend to not craft it. It's already good on its own. And yes, it will have 926 t-atk (996 with affixes i guess) and 80-100% damage variance, but I think that will be weaker than uncrafted, or not worth the effort put into crafting it.

You can make a couple thousand coins per hour playing Mesetan Shooter with a full group of players.

As for the slots, just wait until the servers come up after a maintenance, then play as many machines with 4/5 Rappy meter filled that you can find for some easy coins. It's too unreliable otherwise, from my experience.

Not with the regular camera.
You can go to the "quick menu" (f9 by default) > Change camera > Set your own custom camera settings.
Those are fixed cameras though, but you can get some insane FOV with that.

Or should I just better spent all the points into War Cry itself?
It just War Brave seems very nice, like a free and major buff.
And massive hunter. Is it as useful as I see it? Damage reduction is nice, but being able to stand firm no matter what is even more cool.

Don't know how your skill tree will look like, but I wouldn't bother with War Brave, I always feel like they'd be something better to pick than War Brave.

Massive Hunter is good, add some flash guards and you'll be ready to tank Ult bosses.

Damage reduction is nice, but being able to stand firm no matter what is even more cool.I've been using Warbrave and it's an ok boost to damage if you can get a lot of enemies but it can be unreliable, and not useful at all for bosses, since you need at least 5 for the max effect and the pp bonus is mediocre. It's certainly usable though, especially in small group content like AQs and XQs. There's no need to max war cry though.

Massive hunter is GREAT for the hyper armor and extra defense, particularly if you're subbing hunter with a class that has a lot of long animation PAs like ranger, but it kinda takes away your points from other stuff.


You gonna have a bad time paying the game, since every thing will die just shortly after you war cry which make it uselessWar brave doesn't require the enemies to stay alive and always has a 30 second durration so it doesn't matter if the enemies warcry were used on died or not as long as there are still other enemies to hit. FI has Brave/Wise Stance, and all of their skills that trigger at low HP/PP increase T-ATK.

Overall, FO/TE is easily the best option, though. PP Charge Revival is just too important (Especially on techs with a long charge time), and all the damage multipliers from Tech Charge Advance, Tech JA Advance, and Elemental Conversion make it only slightly worse then then BR or FI in that regard.

The reason the skill exists in the first place is because techs normally don't benefit from weapon element at all.

Hard to say, because we are getting a new affix system soon using 5 fodders, that means it'd be easier to affix low rate stats. So we can't say for sure if the fever stats will still be worth it over something like Stigma or Vin/Mod.

I guess you can save some 4/5/6 slots fevers and wait a month to see how the market reacts to the new affix system. But I wouldn't waste too much money and inventory space for that.

The only "permanent" storage you could get (arguably) is the OTP storage - available when a One-Time Password is active.

Otherwise, inventory tix are all you got.

Your assumption is kinda wrong.
I've heard that everyone has their own lilipa graffiti sticker locations assigned to them (like how chat bubble color is based on player ID), but they definitely vary based on the block you're in.

So if the former is true, then you're on your own.
My only advice though, is to just run around everywhere (in and ONLY in casino area), and pay attention to the top left and/or sounds; tune in to a
"????

Yeah, that's normal for a first-time download, and yes it's the JP version (the tweaker was designed for it, duh).

Populated? Depends which ship you go on, and by which sub-population you consider. Ship 2 is still the go-to place (at least, on these forums) for the english-speaking community, but you're free to go elsewhere.

That's only if you attempted to reinstall the game.

The 16 char code is only obtainable on the first install, and you get it by logging in that time, and going into the main menu.

If the S-ATK mag is your only mag, then I could recommend you these 3 options:

DB FiBo, BoHu, Dispersion Shrike is awesome for mobbing and TD, Blade Fever destroys bosses.
Partizan FiHu, Slide end, Speed Rain solid mobbing PA and Vol Graptor for bosses
S-ATK TeBr, something completely different, fun to play ... it's just going to take a little longer to kill bosses without a T-ATK build, but nothing dramatic.

Does anyone know how to get around error 230 (trouble with the DNS) or what exactly is causing it?

For 8 hours I can't connect to a ship now because of this. I tried everything I can think of, connecting without tweaker, updating, restarting my pc (multiple times).

When I ping the proxy address for the launcher and ship 2 I can connect without a problem.
Please help, I am desperate >_<

It is an extremely hard sword to get. I would say your better off paying for one than having to waste time and effort getting one. I have killed plenty of Falz Hunar and not one of them has drop the sword.

The mesta you spent can easily be regain and you will have a sword that heals you too.

1. Open Command Prompt.

2. Type:

ipconfig /flushdns

That did nothing but with ipconfig I did another check, got a DHCP error and after googling that I found the solution:

copypaste this into command line
Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog
Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

How the hell can my 2nd character fulfill a daily craft request my main character cannot?
Happened twice now.
My main character did some crafting earlier and just crafted me a lvl 4 DB rainbow. She also started dailies 2-3 weeks earlier than my 2nd character.
For all intents and purposes my 2nd character should have a lower lvl in every craft category and should not be able to surpass my main until I stop doing the same amount and more crafting on my main than I do on my 2nd.
Still it's happening, wtf?
Do you get so much more exp for crafting at a lower lvl that you can surpass someone doing more crafting but starting at a higehr lvl? Or is this a whole different kind of BS?

There is no DPS role in PSO2, since there's no trinity. The person with the highest DPS is effectively the tank/aggro-holder barring War Cry which is reserved for Goldrahdas rather than bosses and dodging/*mates are your healer.

Race also has minimal impact on your class choices.

If your definition of "Ranged" means "stand far back and shoot stuff" then Ranger sub Braver (Weak Bullet - Banish - Nemesis combo) or Hunter (Weak Bullet - Massive Hunter - Satellite Cannon combo).

If it means using ranged weapons, specifically Twin Machineguns, Gunner's main class skill is High Time - you press a button to get a ramping damage buff that caps out at 20% after 15 seconds and stays at 20% until the buff goes on cooldown or you get hit, whichever comes first. Ranger's main class skill is Sharpshooter - you gain 20% damage as long as you are far away. The better main skill depends on your preference as a player.
