Default What exactly, do GM's do?

I mean do they really just sit there answering people's questions? That can't be the only thing they do, no way. If that's the case why call it 'Live Support'? I mean can they do something like help people who were affected by a glitch or something? Maybe I'm trying to compare them to the roles of GM's in other games, but if they go online just answer people's questions then is there really a point?

Dealing with those asshats on the official forum is a full-time job, as well as being the liasons between Customer Support/Billing and SoA....and us.

Moderate the community in game to a degree, try to keep things calm, answer questions, etc

I think of them as spokespeople. They can moderate the game and message board to some degree, but they don't really work straight from SEGA. They have to call SEGA to get their information and sometimes aren't told anything more than we are.

They don't do much of anything. They are just Public Relations reps who don't know much more than the casual player does. They are there to give you the illusion that Segac cares about your concerns with the game.

Hmm, maybe I am just comparing their roles to GM's in other games. I mean when you see a GM in this game they're hoarded by a bunch of people as if they're a messiah or something, and it seems as if the 'Live Support' doesn't account for much.

You can ask them specific questions about your account, among other things.

I asked them in-game about a billing issue on my account and they looked into my account and immediately and gave me an answer.
I still never got that autographed tumbler you promised me years ago PSO-World.

The same thing GM's in any other game do. Nothing important and nothing useful.

Hmm that's interesting, I guess that could be pretty useful.

I have to disagree. I remember when I was playing EverQuest, the GM's could get players unstuck and even return items that were lost because of a glitch.
