Works absolutely fine. Online and everything.

The only issue is the screen resolution, the game looks blurry compared to playing on a regular DS. Controlling your character with the circle pad is quite nice though.
You can force the 3DS to play DS games in their native resolution by holding Select and Start directly after starting the game.
