The warp pipe is in there but i'm not sure about the samus power beam.
...Do you have to use cheats to unlock these or are they now the good ol' fashioned luck system?

it will turn into a generic gun and bazooka. they changed it for a reason; new passwords for nintendo weapons
So you're saying they are, in fact, still in the game?
well, someone with the guide book says its still in the game but it didnt give the password to it.
Nope don't see it anywhere in the guide. All I see is Warp Pipe and Yellow Warp Pipe.
then i guess they removed samus cannon and hylian shield but changed the japanese warp pipes into generic bazookas while creating the warp pipes with different passwords for american version
