Weird little situation I'm in. I have these two character concepts:

Azalea, the corpselike Newman who is aloof but quite violent. Beneath her pink clothing and hair is a particularly virulent Force that subjects her foes to an unrelenting onslaught of Techs.

Arlan Crow, a rather mysterious Human who somewhat resembles a rogue mystic. His calm, calculating demeanor allows him to think carefully on his feet and makes him a formidable user of light firearms. Basically, he's a master of Gun Fu.

...And now I have a concept that sort of splits the difference between the two, and my desire for a fourth character has been re-kindled when I heard that Mechguns were going to be in this game.

Meet Arlene Crow, a strange woman who, despite her gothic style, is quite upbeat and sassy. She has a strange relationship with death in which she is hardly fazed by it. Maybe being on the verge of death so many times has desensitized her to it? Or maybe it's her own take on the prospect that as a Newman, she could die at any moment? ...Even though she ends up dying and coming back to life numerous times in-game? Perhaps because of that?

But I also have 4 options for her:

So... one character or two? And if Arlene's a more interesting concept than Arlan and Azalea, which option would look best on her?

I would go with option 1. Has this hideous but also mysterious look.
For the others, I would keep as they are 'cause the best choices are mostly the first ones.

There's a reverse button in the lower right. Just hit that.
I usually use it while updating a character to compare it to a saved version of that character to see which I prefer.

Also, Newmans still have that whole "could die at any moment" race trait?

It was just one line of text from one newman who was part of a dangerous organization. Newmans are better known for their ability to be fully grown in one year.
