They do add points for levels, but they don't add energy that prevents you from feeding them any other item type. The max you can feed a mag is 3 times from 0 energy, while you can just dump x amounts of the leveling devices for levels.

They do add points (as I said, a mini-device adds 60 points), but they are fed via the "use device" option, so they don't fill up the energy bar.

Do you have them equipped? I think someone once said that you have to take them off for Zieg to recognize them.

Yeah, to show Zieg the units, have them in your inventory AND do not equip them.

Did they nerf Dark Falz Elder/Luther/Loser XH's drop tables or am I just being unlucky? The ship hit 300% and I used a rare drop boost but all I got was 5 10*s + junk. Same with elder (100% triboost): stones, meseta and two 10*s. S Rank from both.

Umm your plain unlucky this time around, you won't always get the bountiful of rares from Luther or Elder everytime

Oh I see. Oh well, 4 Mags at Lv200, guess that knowledge came too far too late
Wasn't so bad feeding my Mags using PSO2es while I was at work.
