Guides - 9-1: Missing Research

Quest: Government Quest 9-1: Missing Research
Description: Contact with our research team was lost near the Crater.
Client: Principal
Reward: None
Prerequisites: None
Overview: There are three areas to this particular quest. Generally, you will head toward the East in each area and head toward the exit. In the 2nd area, Sue and Kireek will make appearances. It is not required that you speak to them. However, Karen (a RAmarl) will appear at the end of the 3rd area. You must speak to her. Once you do, a telepipe will appear. After taking the telepipe up, there will be a brief scene involving Sue and Kireek.
Maps

About These Maps
On the maps below, the path the player should take is denoted by a red line. Doors and laser fences that are opened by pressing a button are also marked. Please note that switches are represented with circles and fences/doors with ellipsoids. Colors are used to indicate which switch opens which door/fence. Doors/fences that are opened as a result of clearing the room of enemies are not marked. Since it would be impractical to label every single box, a green box is used to denote a group of boxes. Finally, traps, including damage, confuse, slow, and shock, are denoted using a generic Damage Trap icon. Like the box icon, a single trap icon may denote multple traps.
Area 1

Walkthrough

Clear each room along the path and proceed toward the next area.

Area 2

Walkthrough
  1. After clearing the room, Sue will appear. Talk to her and go to the next room.
  2. Kireek will appear after the last wave of enemies is cleared. Talk to him and proceed to the next area.
Area 3

Walkthrough
  1. Once you pass this point, you will not be able to set a telepipe. You'll either have to finish the mission or recross the bridge to be able to set a telepipe.
  2. Talk to Karen and then take the blue telepipe back to Pioneer 2.
