[PSO2] Flashpoints
The idea behind this is to make miniature snippets of stories for my characters. A groove of instances upon which they interact with another (yes I know I am not the first). Also being a redemption of whatever story I did have here till it got buried... ANYWAY ENJOY!

Being a Hero for a Day A Cipher and Reign Tale
Spoiler![You’ve accepted me. No matter what I’ve done. Despite the contentions from others, the destruction that would have wrought, you’ve accepted me... Just like her...]
Several years after the Great Divide... on Naberius...
A gentle breeze blew across the plain. Its grass, rippled like ocean waves, colored by the blooms of lilies. A series of flora blanketed the scene on top the foundations as it encircled a massive tree; this tree, a spire that sat in between the grove reaching into the deep blue.
A sacred location upon which conducted the most delicate tidings, a place of reflection, place of rebirth...
Under the guises: War Maiden, Black Shadow, Purple Mist, the 'Second Exodus'... [Cipher] stood before this tree of life for it was her birth place. Many memories swelled through her mind.
Of every moment, every event that has led up to this day: her seventh anniversary. Cipher got on her knees and cried, tears of sorrow ran down her face with each drop falling onto the grass like dew. The light of the sun shimmered from above as it made a central spotlight upon her.
Then a gust of wind came wildly, picking up the loose petals as it blown toward and around Cipher. A warm yet cold mist flowed from behind her; then a familiar voice had spoken.
“My, even after all this time – you still lament...”
Cipher turned quickly, looking upon the individual: a sturdy figure that was adorned in godly raiment, poised in stance that stood at a daunting height. Everything about this being was familiar to Cipher, a few notable differences, but everything was the same.
Cipher addressed the interloper.
“Master!” Cipher bowed
The bodacious deuman chuckled, “Cute, your respect has no equal, but I remember telling you that you have the right to call me by name...”
“Oh. To-...”
Before Cipher can finish, a sudden finger was pressed against her lips.
“No, not that name. Wouldn’t want this beautiful place to succumb to chaos – let alone the legion of ‘darkers’ and ‘larkers’...”
Embarrassment grew upon Cipher; once the finger was removed she apologized.
“Forgive me, Master Reign...”
Again Reign was tickled by the formality, bringing Cipher close to her; embracing her.
“Tell me child, why is your heart weighed by such an emotion.”
As Reign let go, her arms were the only thing between them, hands resting on Cipher’s shoulders. Then Cipher spoke.
“Master, it is just hard, those who would acknowledge me as a ‘hero’. I don't understand, this path is a painful path, but many would admire, to aspire toward, just to end up perishing...”
Reign’s eyes narrowed as Cipher continued her rant.
“To have those you love get hurt, taken away or turn a stray happens too many times – too often I hear the cries of the fallen. Only because they looked up to me...”
The message couldn’t be any clearer as Reign looked deep into Cipher’s eyes as she brought her face to meet hers.
“Yes, you are right, my child. The path you take is not meant for those haughty of mind. Those who are only sign their own extinction....”
“... As for those who betray you...”
“... Those who get hurt...”
“... And those who were careless...”
“But you my child are not at fault for any of these, you shed your blood for them, you would do anything to bring a golden era as we are witnessing today...”
“... Remember no life is wasted for it brought you to this point. The people who remained loyal to you and those who passed the torch – believe in you...”
Reign used her thumbs to wipe Cipher’s tears away – now projecting her personal judgement.
“Chaava, you are like her in so many ways. To see my own mother reborn within you; only if Exodus got to her...” Reign’s eyes shifted, “No, it had to happen, else I would not be here to witness this beauty.”
Reign pressed her forehead upon Cipher’s.
“You are very important to me more than ever, if anything was to happen to you. I will bring this dimension into oblivion.”
Cipher quaked a bit at the staunchness of her statement.
“Please, master, even if I was to perish, the dimension as a whole shouldn’t; I am but a fragment in this...”
Reigns eyes had glow like a furious furnace, but was quelled by the empathy displayed.
“Your modesty, your humble nature is admirable to think of yourself as such. You are not just a fragment; it would be millennia before someone can replace you. Or you can preserve your legacy in being my avatar...”
Cipher reminded of the moments she was possessed by Reign – a blush appeared again upon her cheeks. Reign let out a haughty laugh.
“Oh? Thinking of indecorous thoughts?”
Cipher shook her head, “No, not at all!”
Reign’s laughter followed after as she got up from the ground with her back now facing toward Cipher.
“Today, you should take a break...”
“Reign...” Cipher breathed
“... You have shown me something very precious, something I never got to experience personally...”
Suddenly the blossoms started to whirl around Reign, blanketing her amass as a micro twister, which was till she dispersed them in all directions – now in a pose worthy of being in part of an action figure. Cipher immediately recognized the image to be that of the Legendary Red Ring Rico.
“... So I'll be a hero for a day!” Reigns voice changed, “What’cha think? Sexy? Cool? Cute?”
Cipher had no words for it was too much to bear, Reign smiled.
“Good! Looks like we are on the right track!” she then pointed at Cipher, “You stay here and relax, let your mind go blank! I will take care of the new blood rising from the ARKS! Because you know, they need a reason to keep going, as my mother was to me and as your father was to you! But most importantly who we are to each other...”
Cipher was about to contest, but heeded to Reign’s behest, giving her a nod.
“Okay.” She said
“Splendid! See ya when I get back, perhaps I should leave notes for you to follow so you can find me. Tee-hee...”
After winking while blowing a kiss toward Cipher, Reign made her move; before the vapor engulfed her, she had one more thing to say.
“Happy Birthday, Chaava...”
Commander in Chief: Yamanaka A Kira and "Geist" Tale
Spoiler![The GUARD exist to protect, to serve against the injustices no matter where it comes. I do what I must for the people as if they are my own. The ARKS are my FAMILY!!! And their sacrifice will bring JUSTICE!!!]
A few days after inauguration; a meeting in conclusion, with the ARKS GUARD military leaders on the ORACLE.
“Lastly, the ARKS GUARD will work in conjunction with Investigators and Communion alike and their leaders. Under this covenant, our duty is to suppress all FALZ threats and its inclinations thereof; for a brighter day tomorrow...”
Kira’s voice echoed through the hall, waiting before versing her last words.
“This concludes the 144th ORACLE COVANANT. Thank you all for your participation.”
Suddenly a roar of applause filled the room, Kira stood, her visage shown throughout the photon monitors giving a salute. The GUARD who sat at the center stood returning their respect.
“For the People. By the People!” they chanted
Soon after the cry; the windows dimmed from the outside – obscuring Kira from normal view. The photonic monitors started dissipating into the air. The applause was slowly dying, until it became hearty banter between Investigators, GUARD, and Communion members.
Kira continued looking out from above with her hands behind her back.
“Looks like the transition gone smoothly... ”
Noting the voice from behind, Kira turned her head slightly, then her body followed circle. Her eyes widened in shock as if she is seeing a ghost; which was noted by the individual.
“What’s wrong, why are you staring at me like that?” he said, “It’s as if you had seen a ghost or something.”
Kira’s eyes were turning in emotion, but her demeanor as a solider gave salute to her teacher, formal commander, and interest -- Adel Yohan: Codename [GEIST] of the Parallel
“What is this? Why are you saluting, we should be celebrating!”
Kira had a hard time saying anything at first, but the words started to flow out of her.
“Sir... I am giving you my thanks.”
Yohan gave tune to her as he feels her wanting to say this for the longest; her moment continuing.
“For teaching me, guiding me, believing in me... for everything that you have done...”
Then Kira’s saluting hand came down to her heart. Water droplets fall upon her grip as she unveils her deep appreciation.
“... For saving my life... twice.”
Yohan sighed, he started walking toward her. Now in close proximity, Kira looked up into his eyes as he looked down into hers.
“And I would do it again, and again, and again.” Yohan said
Kira blushed as Yohan continued.
“Kira, this was meant to happen. You should be happy.”
As Yohan said that, Kira became even more flustered, then she became angry knowing what happened to him and started pounding his chest.
“How can you say that? How can I be happy without you, you scared me, you made me worry so much. I thought... I thought you were...”
Kira stopped knowing what Yohan is capable of; still her heart was woe when he had gone missing during the LOSER skirmish. Kira picked up his arm and placed her hand upon it, suddenly Yohan’s veins glowed of D-Cellular corruption.
“I feel that you are a bit weak... has the continuum?”
Yohan started laughing a bit, “Just a minor setback for breaking the rules, nothing too serious – it happened before... you know of the time.”
Kira remembered the story she had been told before in Yohan’s attempt, so concern was raised.
“Yohan, you need to rest, I don’t know how much of a toll it had on you, but you need to recover your strength...”
Before Yohan can say anything, Kira put her lips to his. The long awaited kiss between companions had come to pass. As their lips parted, Kira whispered.
“Please don’t... You said this was meant to happen; right?”
Yohan was caught off guard, now blushing upon how smooth Kira had become.
“If I didn’t know any better, I think my blood corrupted you beyond saving...”
The two chuckled, and then they stared at each other again, now Yohan giving her a kiss.
The moment lasted for a good minute before their lips parted. Yohan then stared and grasped Kira’s eyepatch. Lifting it as it revealed her goldenrod eye; the power emanating from it was immense. In effect made her right eye glow even more, awakening Oruga Furo.
He then gave commentary of her changes, now wrapping his arms around her.
“I like the heterochromia action going on here; the horns suit you pretty nicely too...”
With that said Yohan freed an arm and started teasing her new appendage. Kira squirmed till she finally got out of his grasp – now rubbing its roots.
“Stop, they’re very sensitive. I am not use to looking like this yet.”
“Aw come on, you have to admit this adds to the fear factor you already have. Though now everyone see you as Big Boss or Demon Valkyrie... whichever cool title fits.
Kira became a little embarrassed, but liked the compliment from him, now holding her arm in reassurance.
“I guess, if you like it, I’ll do my best to embrace it more...”
She affixed her patch back over her eye while looking over at Yohan, returning the smile he was giving. Then the intercom cuts on.
-MASTER... VICE COMMANDER SERGKI VALON WISHES TO SEE YOU-
Shock ran through both of them, but more so in Yohan which made him grin like the sun.
“Wow, Kira, you are something if you made him your 2nd in command... I wonder how he feels.”
Kira already thinking about it, the times she was berated by such a person who believed in the valor of the GUARD, who didn’t tolerate thinking outside of ones order – who now stands by her right side.
“I see that you integrated Purachina into the ORACLE...” Yohan added
“Yes, she manages the entire ARKS fleet as well.” Then called out to her humble cast, “Let him in Pura.”
Soon as the order was given, the doors opened, before her was the brawny – senior of a man that is Valon. Though one thing is missing from the usual exterior he displays. Kira noted his solemn expression as he slowly approached inward. Soon as the door closed, he gave his salute.
“Madam President...” Valon said
Kira folded her arms behind her back, “At ease...”
The moment struck her as odd that Valon didn’t mention anyting about Yohan. Kira looked over at Yohan as now she got to see what he was signaling with his fingers. Noting to Kira that she is the only one able to see him; placing his fingers on his head – arching them.
A whisper escaped Kira’s lips.
“Limbo?”
She then started touching her horns; Valon raised a brow upon Kira’s doings.
“Is... everything okay, Madam President?”
Kira’s undivided attention was grasped, answering immediately.
“Y-yes, everything is fine...” she paused, “... you look troubled. Was my words not to your liking?”
Valon shook his head, “No, your words were perfect. A message definitely needed to rejuvenate the ARKS as a whole.”
“I see.” Kira said, “Though I feel there is something else on your mind?”
“Yes... I.” Valon paused as if he didn’t want to say it, but he mustered the will.
“I feel that I am not fit for this position. I don’t deserve to be Vice Commander...”
Goddess of Creation A Naomi Isa Tale
Spoiler![A discovery is the action of unveiling knowledge. It is not an invention nor is it a creation for it already was. We only borrow this knowledge, yet claim it as our own... Foolish are the ones who make the acclaim for knowledge is given to discover.]
On Shiron and Kuronia: the plane of monochrome-nites.
Balance, is what Shiron and Kuronia represent in the void; a literal manifestation of light and dark. Its majesty lies in the culture as its inhabitants, Shironites and Kuronites, hold in high regard for their own livelihood.
Aside from their way of life, the architecture of Shiron and Kuronia displayed fine pieces of art: shrines, temples and living quarters all within calculated symmetry of one another. Pavement lined with their own blossoms as they sway in the wind – waterways cutting in-between structures, possessing their own arch going over them.
These and more are in imitation of a higher plane, a kingdom where the forces take seat and watch over its believers – or an island that exist in a lower plane imitates Shiron and Kuronia.
Nevertheless, the inhabitants of Shiron and Kuronia welcome those to study, to find their balance within and without themselves. However that balance was disrupted by an interloping force known as DOUBLE.
To be caught in-between studying their way and hearing an explosion from afar. I know I had to quell the situation, I ensured the monochrome-knights that I will deal with such a radical.
Mind you I was dressed in a tunic made off of my own photon. Gold and silver trinkets lined my shoulders in hoops down to my wrists, which connected to the belt holding my loin cloth.
I travelled out of the temple, DOUBLE was still causing havoc and chaos across the land, red pillars of darker energy spewed in the distance – leaving dust and debris to float in the air. The walk was quite satisfying; to see my surrounding fluxuate under these circumstances. A plank came my way coming at such a speed due to the explosion – I was getting closer.
Coming into the epicenter, the divide of Shiron and Kuronia, had the most unusual of collateral damage. The temples, especially the towers reaching into the sky, had chunks of their structure bitten off.
It seems to me that this creature is feeding off the photon resonating from the buildings let alone the land. It also giving a vibe of being two inclinations, but I see only the twisted one. Before I could process any other query, the creature was staring at me eye to eye.
“Oh?” I sounded, “How can I help you?”
Right, before I forget, my name is ナオミ・イザ.
“Who are you...
{Yeah who are you?}” DOUBLE spoke
“Didn’t I just tell you?” I said
DOUBLE continued looking into my baby-blue eyes, twisting their head in various ways. One of their hands was above my person, dripping its drool upon me.
“I wonder how you taste.
{Yes let’s see how she tastes!}”
An appendage emerged from said hand, which was tongue-like in nature. Though I do say these FALZ creatures sure like tendrils.
“Soon you will be a part of us.
{Yes us in part!}”
Before the idea became a manifestation of its own greed, I waved a hand above my head. Suddenly I was encompassed in a sphere of light; slashing off the hand of DOUBLE. DOUBLE was screaming mad in pain, flailing about and cursing at me.
Then I held my arms before me, producing a condensed blast of air, pushing the FALZ away by least twenty meters. DOUBLE slammed against the condemned building and it collapsed.
I let out a sigh seeing that this was too easy of a feat; least that was till the ground darkened around me. The space began to change below me, the red photon bubbling under my feet, then...
KLANG!
I was consumed by an enormous bulb trap... oddly enough it resembled a kookier version of their hand.
