You have to make a face around the lipstick in this game. You need full lips. Most characters and npcs have narrow lips.

..and I was going to comment on the lipstick and how people should think twice before using a dark lipstick. Changed my mind, didn't want to be rude ... but yeah, the backlit pictures make her look like an evil clown.
