"What a long week." i thought to myself. Stretching as i rustled through my blankets. There had been at least 7 emergency alerts in the last 3 days that it felt like I could never get any sleep. I kicked the sheets off of me looking at my aching body. The bright caramel color looked rather dull by the black undershorts i had on, its true I have not stopped in the last few days but I wondered why I’d lose my nice complexion? I hopped out of bed and promptly got dressed; I figure something fresh for breakfast would do me some good... or so I thought.
"Nina, are you there?" My Visiophone speakers went off, it was Horo. It was nothing out of the ordinary for her to message me lately. Between her and Tingle we've been an inseparable team as of late. Meji even commented about how the three of us almost acted like a family... a comment i took into consideration but still have not gotten use to hearing. I snapped onto the last belt of my Tiger Piece and picked up the call.
"Yeah I'm here, what's up?" I responded pretty clearly.
"I hope I didn't wake you up, but Meji says he wants us all at the team ship right away."
"Alright." I responded quickly. I guess breakfast would have to wait. I sighed and grabbed an orange from the table. Mind as well eat something before getting involved in another adventure.
When i arrived i noticed a large number of the team was there. Some of them I've met before others I haven't. They look like a rather rowdy bunch talking and shouting at one another. I looked around trying to find someone i was familiar with before hearing the squeaking of a familiar voice.
"Ninaya! Over heeeere." It was Tingle. She waved her tiny arms frantically at her and Horo's location. Tingle dressed in her usual black cross outfit and odd yellow tights. Horo in her usual outfit as well but something seemed different. A lone bushy tail dragged across her legs. It kind of reminded me of those costume show foxes you'd see on the television programs. Since when did she go about sporting such a weird accessory?
"Nina! Nina! Horo's a fox! Look at her tail!" Tingle shouted, tugging on Horo's tail. She winced slightly to the pulling. She must really be into the costume bit if pulling on her fake tail made it seem like ti was actually hurting her...
"So whats with the cosmetic change?" I asked her trying to hide a smirk.
"I always had this." she answered quickly and nervously, "I just hide it inside my pants because i didn't want to show it off, but it ripped...I kind of like the look of tails..." I certainly wasn't expecting that answer, but she seemed very nervous about talking about it. I tried to change the topic right away for her sake.
"So, what did Meji want from us? Has he said anything yet?"
"Not yet, I heard him shuffling around here while i slept in that chair." Tingle pointed at the lone chair. I suppose they haven’t found her a new living arrangement yet.
"It had better be good waking me up so early in the morning for this!" It was already 10:00. Id be up already, what a lazy girl... Before i could speak up. Meji walked up to the main podium. He was dressed rather peculiarly in oversized swim trunks and a t-shirt with floral prints all over it. He had 2 splotches of white makeup on his face, or maybe its sunblock I’m not sure.
"Celestial! Hear me! Today we are on vacation!" The crowds gasp and awe in shock of his words. I could hear the excitement in all of the others voices. A vacation? That could be exactly what I need to get the shine back in my skin...
"Yes! We're going to land in the Arks secured location on Planet Vorpal. Its a new planet that was recently discovered and purified by the council. Its an huge beach resort! Today I secured and reserved the spot just for us!" The crowds cheer grew more wild. A new planet... Vorpal... and the beach... I never been to the planet before and the first time going for such a trivial event? Seems interesting. Though I haven’t any kind of clothing suitable for the beach. I never had a reason to go out and buy myself a swimsuit since the training school supplied us with One piece suits for swimming practice.
"Oh right, I know what you're thinking you haven't any swimwear! Well me and the lovely Ms Pahsy have arranged surprise swimsuits for all of you! Free of charge of course." He had a glint in his eye somehow I have a bad feeling about this... and how would they even know our sizes? Did he get in contact with the medical ward for our body sizes? What a crafty man he really is.... Pahsy peeked behind Meji with a large grin on her face. Lets just hope whatever she got for me is actually pleasing... and blue, that'd be nice.
It didn't take long for the campships to arrive the planet resort. Looking through the window i took a glimpse of the sky. It was gorgeous. The sun shined brightly under the vast blue sea. It was peaceful almost dream like. I found it very hard to believe its true. Tingle and Horo looked out the window in shock as well. I walked out first. Meji had left us a note with instructions. I guess he and Pahsy had their own plans... and everyone else went with their own parties so once again I found myself with Tingle and Horo. I guess Meji consider that too based on his note.
"Nina. In the dressing booth you'll find your special swimsuits. Please put them on right away. (`･ω･´)"
"I’m rather excited about the swimsuit I’m gonna get!" Tingle chimed up rushing into the dressing room. Horo followed afterward. I suppose it's normal for team mates to dress together right? I followed in as well. Inside the shack were 3 boxes. Each with our names on the box. I opened the box and found 2 outfits with different shades of blue. A relief. I turned back at the other two girls to my surprise they had already began to undress. Part of me wanted to look but that'd be very rude of me! I looked anyway. It's normal to look right? We're women after all... Tingle's body had a creamy white shine to it. The dim light the shack provided gave her skin a pale silver sheen to it as well. Her bosom clasped together by a small bra. She had the look of a little sister, and it made me feel a bit at ease.
Horo's body was more ample than Tingles however. She had already gotten her swimsuit on by the time i glanced in her direction. She was beautiful. I couldn't help but blush slightly at the sight of her golden skin and warm apple colored hair. Though she still had that weird tail attached to the backside of her swimsuit. Did Pahsy also put her fake tail into consideration also? I began to unfasten my top to change into my suit as well, still looking at Horo's direction until a while she caught onto my peeking.
"Hey!"

"Are you looking at me??" She commented a bit annoyed. I tried to explain how it was by accident but my blushing face was not helping my case.
"Honestly, it was a mist-"
"I can show you more if you like." She held her arms to her swim-top It was an orange striped bikini top, she rested her hands above her chest showing off the body she was blessed with. She looked back onto my exposed chest and gasped.
"Er- whoa! Look at the size of those boobies Tingle! They're huge!" I flinched and covered my chest in embarrassment. How awkward can you get! Tingle walked over in her swimsuit looking right into my chest.
"Yeah! They're like mangoes!"
Tingles swimsuit was a one pieced garment with frills on the bottom of it. It was a nice form of feminine charm but still cute and childish enough to be worn by a kid. It was actually... very cute. Though it didn't help the fact I was getting observed as much as I had been doing to them. I finished getting dressed. Pahsy had arranged a rather simple bra top and shorts swimsuit for me. The shorts were covered with flowers. The three of us walked out of the dressing room. I hope that they'll forget about this little incident soon enough.
As time progressed i found myself lying by the shore. Horo and Tingle were having fun splashing each other, but I could not be bothered to partake in such activities. Today I want to relax and collect some well needed sunlight. I must have dozed off for a while because i heard a loud sigh and a thump next to me. My eyes open to see Horo sit beside me, rubbing her eyes she sighed again.
"That Tingle sure has a lot of energy." She sighs, I inquired about what she meant, "She just has so much energy splashing and screaming at me and everything..."
"You didn't leave her out there alone did you?" I asked. She had a look of shock before replying coyly, "I didn't know she was our child. Does that make you the daddy or the mommy?"
"I’m being a bit serious..." I replied back really not amused by her clever words. Tingle had proven to be much more of a child liability as opposed to an equal like me or Horo. I’m not exactly against the idea of having her with us but I often wish she was a bit more controllable to have around. "Though she isn't 'our kid', we need to keep an eye out for her. You know how she gets into her... moods..." I remember the reacting she had during the first time I’ve met her. Yelling at herself, screaming and trembling it would be far too much for anyone not use to her antics to deal with. Before I could comment again i could hear a squeak. Me and Horo look up and see that it was Tingle. She had a big goofy grin on her face as she held a flier in her hand.
"Ice cream cake!" she shouted. I took a look at the flier in hands, as she clapped amused.
NARUNA LOVERS ICE CREAM DEAL. Bring your lover and get our special sweet ice cream cake for free! (a 1600 meseta savings). That’s a rather nice deal though none of us are actually in a relationship...
"That's.. nice Tingle but if you read the flier it says its between two lovers.." I tried to talk before Horo snatched the paper from my hands.
"Lovers Cake!? That stuff is the BEST. We MUST get some Nina!"
Lovers cake, it was the cake sisters more exotic cake recipes. It was an ice cream cake with very heavy frosting, slices of apples on the edges around the cake and a caramel glaze on top. It had a very rich quality to it and was definitely worth the 1600 meseta price.
"Must WE? I don't think its fair to really call ourselves lovers after all." I spoke with reason though the thought of companionship seemed interesting to me, I don't think it'd be fair to say we were a couple at all...
"Now wait a minute! That's not fair." Tingle pouted, "I found the flier in the first place!"
"Well, you can get some when you're older. You're far too young to have a boyfriend like Nina anyway!"
"BUT IM THE SAME AGE AS YOU GUYS."
"...Since when I was the 'boyfriend' Horo?" She coughed for a second before grabbing my arm.
"Its been decided! Let's go." She dragged me off to the cake shop with Tingle running behind. Horo looked back at me with a huge grin on her face. Her gaze made it difficult for me to stay angry at her. "Listen. Just do as I tell you and let me do all the talking." I nodded as we walked through the door.
"Oh! Look at the two of you!" the tellar gasped blushing at the two of us, "What an absolutely cute couple!" I could not help but blush as Horo clung her arms around me tight. Despite being at each others throats so often there was something about Horo that I just couldn't quite grasp. She looked back at me with a glint in her eye and a large smile on her face. She certainly played the role very well in any case.
"Ah, right right here you go!" The teller handed us the cake. With a smile and nod we both headed out the door. Horo skipped a few beats ahead me looking back at me with a childish grin. Quite satisfied with herself. For the moment as well, i felt very relaxed as well maybe this vacation was what i needed after all. We headed to the benches and placed the cake on the table. Tingle was there already with her hands over her face. She muttered something incoherently. I'd imagine to her mag or something.
"Let's eat this cake!" Horo said excitedly while me and Tingle watched her open the cake box open tossing the wrappers aside. She cut herself a large piece of cake, I sliced myself a small piece and handed it to Tingle.
"Here you go." She looked at it annoyed, before turning her head.
"This isn't my cake. We're not the lovers." She sulked back at me. Annoyed by her response i stuffed the cake into her mouth she squeaked before the cake began to be devoured by the small girl. She had quite the appetite after all.
After consuming enough cake to ruin anyone diet, we watched the sunset by the sea. I looked back at the others, Tingle had fallen asleep in a chair while Horo kept a stoic glare at the sea, before looking back at me once she had noticed I was staring.
“Hmm? Is something the matter Nina?”
“Oh, no.. not at all...” I let my eyes dart away from staring directly at Horo. She had quite a lonely look in her eyes, but It could just have been my imagination. Before I got too much into thought, my communicator went off.
“Attention, our shuttle will be departing! Let us head back home!” It was Meji. Horo had gotten the same message and nodded before zipping a jacket over her swimsuit and walking off. I didn't bother to try and wake up Tingle and just carried her over my back. She was tall and awkward sized but lighter than any weapon I've ever had to deal with. All in all today had been a very nice change of pace from the previous turn of events we've dealt with.
