Alright, well now that I have a 13* weapon, it's time to stop spamming Ult and do something different. One of the things I do in this game is complete every client orders (minus class cube orders for classes other than Force ad Techer).

Already did the orders for that new NPC in red, so now it's time for Zieg's new orders. From what I've read, I need to play AQ in order to gain stones which I will eventually be able to exchange for one 17 different 12* Weapons. Zieg's orders are to present 3 of those particular Weapons in order gain another 12* one (one per class).

Now I'm a guy who did Ult Lilipa over 150 times in order to get a single 13*, so the questions remains, will this require more dedication?

1- How often do these stone drop?
2- Do I have a certain control over which stone drops by choosing a different AQ location?
3- Can I get more than 1 stone per AQ?
4- Does bringing NPCs along help the drop rate of stones?
5- Do drop boosts increase the chances of stone drops?
6- Will I get stones in every difficulty or only SH?
7- If I can get them in any difficulty, do I get more if I play in a higher difficulty?

Perhaps both, I mean it random, but perhaps the chances have increased. It's been a while since I played AQ, I remember the enjoyment I had that enemies did not come back in an area, sort of like in PSO1.

That's not really true, in fact pretty much nothing affects large stones drop rate not even boosters, you can get 3 large stones without boosters, but i have yet to see above 3 large stones from 1 run, seems like some ppl get 5.... Anyway, risk will only affect boosted ennemies appearance rate and their stats (higher risk means more atk/def/hp...), this and chance of rare boss infected lvl3 (at +50 it's almost granted, like 80% chance i would say), Angel/Clones/Persona/Apprantice/Nyau appearance rate seems at max once you reach risk +10 though.

Caps drop rate aren't affected by boosters too, only normal stones are. Also, the number of large stones you'll get from one run isn't even related to the amount of ennemies you get, you can get an extremely crowded map and have 0 large stones but on the other side you can have a pretty empty map and have 1-2 large stones.

EDIT: @importer to answer question 7) SHAQ seems to drop less normal stones than VHAQ (a little bit), i tend to get around 60-70 normal stones with a 250 booster on VH (solo +npc palying), around 50 on SH, all of this without pse burst, of course with 4 player (no npc) pse burst you can get easily around 80-90 normal stones with a 250 booster on SH (then it depends on the length of the pse burst)

I played 3 AQ so far on SH, I'd say I get more or less 75 small stones. Only found 1 large stone so far. So far, it's not really any problem to play fight mobs of enemies on SH, sort of reminds me of Extreme Quests.

True, but that concept gives us something we never had before, an easier way to grind attribute of any 12* weapon. You can play AQ anytime and get some more large stones. Once you get your desired weapon from Zieg, just get more 12* from the shop to use as material.

Sure, it will only add 1 attribute point, but if you use a +5 Attribute item, that will be 6 points. Assuming that Zieg 12* weapons are at lease 15, you'll only need 6X 12* weapons from the shops and 6X +5 attribute items. Expensive yes, a better solution than to hunt down rare 12*, yes if your luck is as shitty as mine.

I don't feel like most of the other 12* weapons are superior enough to the Live weapons to justify grinding that much to maximize their element, personally.

so I just got Ares Boots (yay my 1st 13* !!!)

but now I've come to a conflict. My current JB are Quna's JB which seems still great.

With that being said how much more damage would Ares do over Quna and it would be worth moving over to? (provided I use JB as melee)

Ares (37% Light): 1379

Making sure I'm not missing anything really, but I take it if I want to boost the Urban AQ my only option is Arks Fleet Region for timed abilities? Seems kind of silly there aren't any Adv timed abilities for it. :<

I used a My Room 3 Days item to change my room layout to the woody theme, but I just used a Scenery Pass City and can't seem to change it back to the woody version. Is it not possible to change it back?

What.
You mean, you want to change the room scenery back to the old one?
If so, you have to buy another scenery pass and use it again since when a scenery pass used, the old one are completelly discarded.

Vita question- the built in controls have options to use multiple commands for moves, ie type1 allows o to be jump and o+L stick to be dodge. Is it possible to do similar in custom controls?

There's something I don't get about AQ. I know Cirnopedia is not up to date, but is says it goes to Risk +12 for enemies at Lv60. How did we jump from 12 to 50 and how does this affect enemy Lv? Do they gain 0.53 Lv at every risk stating at 13?

OK, so the only thing that changed was the enemy Lv cap from 60 to 80 then.

EDIT: according to the JP wiki level 60 in VHAQs starts at +8 risk.

For SHAQs 71+ starts at +10 risk, and 80 is at +28 risk or higher.

Is it me, or do I get more hits (and consistent hits too) with Hatou in TPS mode? If this is the case, then I've been doing Hatou wrong all this time. Crap.

The level cap in VHAQs is 60, the one in SHAQs was increased to 80 with the update.

I havent ran AQ's yet despite the update, it is one cap for +1 risk right? I'd like to start looking for discs again and i would like to think the higher enemy levels would help this

at cmode M8, someone triggered first mizer, then went to babalilipan, light turns on, and then turns off again. after that the VR Manager said "stop", after about 5 secs we're unable to proceed to 2nd babalilipan and have to use teleporter instead.

anyone knows what really happening..?

You're on a time limit to get to the end at that part. Take too long, and gates will close, portals go up, and you miss your chance at some extra stuff.

But as for why the manager said to stop, I'm not sure. I haven't done srs biz cmode in a while, and I noticed an MPA pause around there too. Not sure if it's a new strat or something.

If you're too slow in M8, then it's preferable to stop before the Goldrahda section because there are no drops in that area, the EXP isn't worth it, and it just eats up VR. If you do spawn the Goldrahdas, then you have to fight them before teleporter will show up.

so I just got Ares Boots (yay my 1st 13* !!!)

Quna's JB (24% Dark): 1006
Ares (37% Light): 1379

well your ares has significantly more element which is already a big plus then your ares boots being ares also have significantly higher base atk to begin with

element is a multiplier to your attack based on the percent so ill break this down for you

quna 1006 x 1.24 = 1247

ares 1379 x 1.37 = 1889

as you can see the ares boots have A LOT MORE ATK

now potential of quna boots is 15% towards ele stance

ares boots are 10% at max pb otherwise its 6% this is assuming both are +40 +20 on ares is 8% with 4% min

so basically your ares boots are significantly stronger and totally worth using over the quna assuming bo main

(quna boots can be used on fibo if thats your thing)

If you have spare costumes that you don't need anymore that were originally from AC scratch tickets, you can exchange 20 for a Grind Skip -> 7 at the Recycling Shop.

What I do is Zieg's first 6 COs once a week, which is worth 11 Lambda Grinders. It takes a little time, but it's the cheapest way. Since I have 4 characters, that's 44 a week too.

This was brought to my attention shortly after so i did this on all my chars.

This was my result....

I end up doing +20 since I was informed its only 2% difference from 1 to 3 and 196k per attempt makes me cringe haha maybe in the future


Unsure what imma do affix since it seem quite decent as is. (I run BO/HU)

Actually relates to the question I'm about to ask.

I'm using a crafted Gungnata myself, but my question is for Magatsu am I better just doing Volg-> Zenith spam or should I work some other PA into it to boost my DPS?

Volg → Zenith → Normal (for PP efficiency) is the best thing to do on Magatsu. Don't work in another PA because then it will cost too much PP and you'll have more downtime than you should.

I know where that spreadsheet is as well, I will get it after Magatsu if nobody beats me to it.

For unit crafting, I'll have to unlock Lv 6\7 first before I can do Lv 8, even if I already unlocked the special Lv 8 recipe, right?

Probably factoring in that crit isn't 100% on FiHu, while it is on FiBo (plus Bo gets craft mastery). Would also explain the DPS difference of Gungnata and Fuuga.

Would be nice to show us where the numbers come from though.

Volg - Zenith - Normal did seem pretty sweet, thanks for that. I already use Skewer in there for burst but sustained DPS is the issue heh.
Just gotta get better at it I guess, it can be hard to tell if I'm helping or hindering a magatsu group at times, though it's consistently doing 100k+ explosions on non-weak spots. vOv

Well, doing some math this would answer why, 1.2^4 or 1.13^5? Well, it's not in favor of Naginata assuming the only damage PA is Peak Up Throw.

And, they sort of took Break Stance but don't mention it. It's odd as heck since they don't do it for Ideal.

As far as I know Gameguard isn't yet, but I imagine it will be before Windows 10 launches at the end of next month.

does all the stuff for the Phantasy StarES smart phone app only work on android cuz all the downloadable stuff is all in .apk and im pretty sure iphone uses .ipa so i think i have to change my region to get it but then does that mean the tweaker is out of the question as its also in .apk and i have no way to install that?

If you dig through the es tweaker thread, you can find some info on the iOS version. I believe that an iOS version of the tweaker was started, but I don't know how that has progressed.

Ok I mathed it (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1M1yJMEbDR28JA3IkPa_5ANHWmzm6QXnORumDIAsCOiY/edit?usp=sharing). Used 95% crit because it looks like those were made in a premade context so I assume Shifta Crit.

Would Break really outdamage Fury + JA though? Are they using non-JAs or something?

Whoops forgot Shifta Crit was less than Stance.

Bloody Nails is 770 ATK uncrafted vs 750 ATK crafted. With element factored in, that's an ATK difference of 32. Craft Mastery should be an advantage of 75 - 32 = 43 ATK. That's still less than what Hunter's SATK Ups can do, much less cover the gap between Break + Shifta Air vs Fury + JAs, unless they were actually using Guard Stance in their subclass tree or something.

Not many actually follow these trees considering the amount I see actually using Partizan Gear.
They don't offer any trees for any other class combinations because they're straight forward enough unlike FiHu, and well, FiHu and RaHu ONLY.
They most likely factor 100% criticals for FiBo daggers to cover the gap, and that's all I can think of at this point.

Use mini-OP recovery, you should have gotten 3 daily for this EQ.
Mini-OP recovery medicine, only recover 1 OP each, and they don't give boost, unlike the big OP medicine.

Actually... if memory serve me right... because people used to do that in the past, Sega capped hits on those kind of PA to avoid further massive outbust.

Yes, you'll have to complete the first one by doing the first ULT mission for the second one to unlock per character.

Extra character(s) can always be used as a glorified item storage (50 spaces) and all skilltree reset pass claimer, like 12 characters will give you 12 reset pass at one time o_o

But...

It's possible to get enough points doing it solo eventually.

You're crazy if you're considering do it all the way.

But you did say you never did CM before so... yeah... no. CM is designed for MPA groups.

Is there an explanation of how to use the mechs in the Magatsu fight anywhere?

I sortof half got it when trying the fight today, but I don't know how to use the photon cannon the magatsu guide mentions, and I'm not sure about the missiles, or the weak bullet the magatsu guide also mentions.

Also not sure what skills 1/2 do.

Space Bar to fly/hover.

Activate first option on subpalette for AIS Photon Canon.

Activate 2nd option on subpalette for AIS Weak Bullet.

Activate 4th option on subpalette to heal AIS (forgot what the 3rd option was, I don't think I've ever used it).

Shift +Left Mouse Click to fire missles.

Shift + Right Mouse Click to do a dashing sword attack.

Left Mouse Click to do a regular fire attack.

Right Mouse Click to do sword slash.

First Magatsu that appears is weak to Ranged-Attacks.

2nd Magatsu that appears is weak to Striking Attacks.

For Magatsu-Sai (the yellow magatsu) I just use striking attacks.

3rd option is quick high jump which is pretty useful.

On a side my Saiki Set is Quartz Soul / Power III / Spirita III / Stamina III, and I must change it, I was thinking to change it to something like Quartz Soul / Power III / Vinculum / Random S-Atk Fever. But then I'll lose a total of 150HP, so I would need to extend my Saiki Set to level 8 (HP) at least right ?

How feasible is it to get Craft Level 30 for Installing "Timed Abilities"? Is it easier/less expensive than getting to Craft Level 30 for Extending Equipment or is it just as expensive?

Currently, I'm over Level 30 for Crafting Equipment and I must say that I have used tens of millions of Meseta to get to that level. If it isn't so bad to get to Level 30 for installing timed abilities, I would like to get the Timed Ability for Ult Lilipa.

Edit: Nvm. It's actually not that bad (expensive) to get to craft level 30 for installing timed abilities; one just need loads of liliparium because of the massive cool down from updating data drives.

If you mean in order to access the special Ex8s (HP, PP, Attribute) to order it from another player then 7 or 8 works, though 7 is obviously cheaper.

If you mean in order to unlock it yourself, your extend craft level needs to be at least lv20, then you just craft a single unit to the desired special Ex3 to unlock special Ex8.

Potentials will always stick around. Adding abilities and or failing further grinds will never "reverse" a potential being unlocked.

The updates are listed as DLC in some sites which I know are region restricted but I also play and update my PSO2 on an North American PSN account so I am not completely sure.

Hmmm anytime PSO2 is up if I have google chrome up I can no longer go to any sites. The only ones that work are the ones that where already up prior to PSO2 being launched but i if i where to say......have up gmail.com and try to go to bumped.org it won't do anything it'll just sit there.


Inter Explorer doesn't seem to have this problem.

My 1st assumption is Gameguard but im not sure.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Does sound like gameguard. I know 1-3 time that it locked down my programs and I ended up having to restart it (not sure if I had to physically restart it...). I mean, when you cannot even check your screenshots folder...

Anyways, I remember hearing in the past that chrome was a prime target for GG.

there was an issue back then regarding that, but it was a long time ago, i think the problem just solved it self... :-?

I downloaded the prepatch via the regular launcher. When I launch the tweaker, it asks me if I wish to download pre-patch files. It then begins checking all of my files (I'm assuming to see what I need) but it is taking a while and I want to hop on right now.

When it finishes scanning the files, will it realize the prepatch was already downloaded, or does the tweaker download them elsewhere?

Dunno; never tried downloading the previous pre-patches with both the regular launcher and tweaker before lest something goes horribly wrong.

But yes, that happens to me too, having tweaker prompting me a message about the pre-patch and whatnot even though I have already downloaded the pre-patch somewhere else. I always just down load via the regular launcher and when tweaker asks me if I want to re-download the pre-patch files, I decline.

Downloading the pre-patch from one or the other should suffice though.

It will just scan them, and not download anything else.

How would I do that? I thought GG was implemented within pso2.
You can either delete the GG folder in your PSO2 directory, or you can use the Fix Gameguard Issues from the Tweaker's troubleshooting menu.

They were never exactly IP blocks, it was a routing issue after the DDoS (long story, let's not dig it back up). A lot of the ISPs that were having this issue can now connect again, so yes, typically, if you can connect to pso2.jp, you can play the game without a VPN or proxy.

Decided to start over, and I noticed that while you can still only select the usual starting classes you can now freely change into the "advanced" ones (Techer, Gunner, etc).
Having always wanted to try a gunner before... are there any major downsides from leveling Gunner from the start? Or am I just going to gimp myself until I unlock a subclass?

Gunner as a whole is just not a very good class right now for anything that isn't killing bosses. While the class itself won't have issue from leveling it right away, you're going to feel very underpowered compared to other classes along the way since your mob killing ability as that class levels off pretty low.

As a general rule of thumb, about 150 less average ATK, give or take depending on a bajillion variables. Rod will have more, Jet Boots less, high Dex bosses will have more, low Dex SH enemies less, Saiki set will have less etc etc

Crafted rares using silver-based materials provide a DEX bonus of roughly 200+ DEX depending on weapon class and rarity. From my experience using a crafted 8* (lvl9 Ex) on a Caseal with no bonus DEX from Affix/Mag/skill tree, I'd say my damage varies between 85% and 100% against enemies in the lvl60-80 range, bosses and ultimate stuff included.

The PP and HP ones are special. You can only do them when crafting levels 3, 8, and 10 (the final one). You can recraft at a certain level as well if you want to switch although its a bit expensive to do so in the first place if you're at level 10. I believe you can also remove crafting completely from them although you have to start from level 1 if you do so again.

Here's the gist of it (if you are doing the crafting yourself rather than requesting it):
Special Recipes Lv.3 are unlocked once you hit lv.20 in Equipment Extend.
To get the lv.8 version of them, you need to craft the lv.3 version once, and to unlock the lv.10 you need to craft the lv.8 once.
You can overwrite crafts with the same level craft, so if you have a lv.10 PP crafted unit, and you want to have it be lv.10 HP instead, you can just re-craft it at lv.10 (assuming you have the recipe unlocked).
You can restore to an uncrafted state, but mind that the unit will still be untradeable.

The crafted wep will vary much more: between 85-100% of your dmg, average value being 93% as opposed to dealing pretty much max dmg all the time with the non-crafted one.

Btw, I assumed lvl 75 newearl w/ no bonus DEX vs an average ult mob for this.

Holding ctrl will temporarily disable the item patch, so if you plan to use it on a chat shortcut with a ctrl+[some other key] hotkey input, then you have to use the item's Japanese name, and hold the ctrl button until it switches, to ensure the most consistent swap.

sh but do it in parties if possible and never go above 9 risk if ur solo.. the rates arent any better once on xh and the runs take significantly longer (all assuming solo)

Hi, I have a problem, when I choose a character and start to play (getting in the loading screen), I immediately get "pso2.exe has stopped working", I tried to uninstall all the patches, disabled item translation patch, checked for missing files but nope, fixed gameguard issues but nope.

Any idea ?

Edit : I also restarted my PC but nope.

Edit 2 : I found something in the tech support area, I'll give it a try and post the solution if it works.

So would I lose a bunch of damage going from BR/RA to BR/HU for bows? The head shot damage is great but everything else sucks. 21k headshots and 3k bodyshots. Even in tps mode i cant get head shots on most things without hoping before every shot(sick of doing that for foie). Br/Hu gets a decent Kamikaze since it's Striking-type but Ra/Br is better for bows in general after accounting for the whole package like Traps, Tactics Trap, WB etc.

So my next question then. What do you do for bosses you cant headshot? Talking mostly about the seabed boss. Cant sat can/final nem or i get killed. I alos only do dmg to the head which I have to tps for, but it moves a ton. Ended up killing it with master shot spam, but it felt sloppy and took forever. I might just wait a bit on Bow br. I feel like I can mob better with a rifle at times.

Ranger variant would probably be WB, TPS uncharged Kamikaze x 2, Banish, Nemesis. ReverseSeraf and Arma Ros have a one-shot kill strategy though.

I was trying to get Leo and everything was going well until level 75 and I screwed up by a tiny bit and now my mag is Lyra again. 50 SATK / 25 DEX

Would a Mag Form Change Pass let me go back to Antila or am I completely boned? ^^;

Umm, seabed bosses can be categorized as easy since they wouldn't move around a lot, you just need to timing the attack.

I already learn my lesson, if you still do it im sure as hell that you'll learn yours too.

Solo trigger won't pay your hardwork, simply put it's just a glorified waste of time.

i find certain non-boss enemy grabs can be escaped via mashing directions. same applies for bosses, but it's just easier if you're in a party and people deal enough damage to cause them to let go. otherwise you just have to avoid it at all costs.

I think literally all grabs except for Gwanahda can be escaped by rotating your movement controls clockwise. Gwana's can be broken by breaking all the bits OR stunning him (quake howling, etc.). He's weird, I dunno.

Seeing how this question seemed to be trumping even the best of the best here, I decided to do some reading on the Japanese Wiki using Chrome's translation feature. Very rough English in the end, but I think I found my answer:

Changes in the performance due to extended in uniform for each "category" of equipment, it is not dependent on the original equipment. ★ even 1, if extended to the limit even ★ 10, it is the same attack and defense.
This means that the reduced performance when extended high-performance equipment than the limit of the craft, can be raised to a practical level even in a weak equipment.

If I understood this rough translation, it basically says that when maxed, all weapon of the same class will be identical regardless of their rarity. A weapon who's attack power is weaker than the max crafted level will benefit while a weapon with higher attack power will loose on the deal.

What this means is that I made the right choice by sticking with Mastering 10★ Tech Weapon Crafting instead of moving to 11★ for many reasons:

1- Although over half the 11★ Rods are under 1131 T-Attack, half of them are less than 15 T-Attack away, so not really worth it if you ask me

2- On the opposite side, you have nothing in the 10★ department that gets to 1130 T-Attack, closet is 1069, which is ironically my old weapon Esca Hermes

3- You have more 10★ weapon over any other rarity, meaning that you have more potential choices, which is what makes a difference in the end when crafting

4- Although it cost less to unlock everything to Master Craft 11★, it cost more to unlock everything under 10★

5- Not much of a difference, but it's a bit easier to grind 10★ weapons than it is for 11★

6- It's not only easier to obtain 10★ weapon passes, but when looking at the same potential, they're usually cheaper than 11★, making it even easier to get to 50 attributes as well

Question that remains now, what do I advertise for my craft store? I can craft up to Ex Lv11 for Tech Weapons and up to Special Ex Lv8 Ranged for Units. What should I pick for my 3 search criteria to generate more sales?

EDIT: One more question, how do you make your own advertisement picture for your craft store from your PC and upload it to PSO2?

In general, the money you generate from crafting is very minimal, only about 10-20% of the normal cost of the craft. Extend level 8 specials are more common than weapon crafters, so I would do that personally.

You can put in your variables to see variance values and such when trying to figure out the average variance and DEX required to undo the differences in ATK stats. It's long and complicated, but really the answer is that you can do whatever one you want. Force weapons are heavily reliant on good potentials (Element X%, Weakness Damage X%, etc.) so you should be okay with your decision to do crafting, but I prefer to do straight T-ATK so that I can equip more stringent T-ATK weapons, as well as get boosting onto Resta and Shifta.

Both are equally valid though, so it's just up to preference really.

TE/HU: S-Atk as it benefits Hunter weapons also, though some T-Atk on mag is not a bad idea for equiping 13* wands. Your choice.
TE/BR and TE/FI: T-Atk.

The entire point of crafting is the be able to gain more power at the cost of a random chance of not always doing as much damage, that's the double edge sword. If you start removing other elements that gave you more power, what's the point of crafting?

Doesn't really matter who does. Everyone in the MPA gets them.

Even if they did matter, they're barely drops in the bucket compared to what you get for getting to M10 at least.

UQ diabo has 482 dex and if I'm not mistaken that's the highest dex you'll run up against.
naked fo/te newman gets 449 dex
crafted 11* weapon gives 242.5 dex(lets make it 242)
you have 209 more dex than Diabo which is 418 of your weapon's atk variance covered
For the cause(and because all the coold kids do it) you wear Saiki for 80 dex, another 160 atk covered
lets say we have 1244 t-atk from base stats and bonuses and pick Deelyra rod for a nice round 2400 t-atk total

Deelyra
uncrafted: 1156 atk
vs
crafted: 1131 atk

uncrafted variance: 2284.4 - 2400 atk
Average: 2342.2 atk

crafted variance 1935.1 - 2375
Average: 2155.05 atk

Out of the box, without any effort on our part, the crafted version has 92% of the average damage and this is against the hardest target, this value will be higher against UQ mobs and even better in SH(not sure where XH EQ stats fall).


If you decide to trade some T-atk for Dex, each point of dex is worth 2 minimum damage and it comes at the cost of one max damage, because of how you calculate the average, it will not change but will become less random. Trading enough t-atk for dex to reach 90% weapon variance would bring it to a range of 2098.5 - 2211.6 or an average of still 2155.05 atk but with a variance of only 113.6 instead of the previous 439.9.

Bouncer's Craft Mastery simply increases the weapon's ATK by 10% then only the weapon's max atk increases and we only really see a 2.6% increase in damage in this case, not 10%(dem 10 points are really bad). Still if the case above was on a bouncer instead of a fo/te we'd reach about 94.41% the average damage of the uncrafted version. And if we took this further and crafted Zieg's weapon with their Craft Mastery potential it would then reach 101.02% of the uncrafted average damage.



TLDR:

If you Craft an 11* weapon all the way you don't even need to invest in dex and it'll be decent, trading some of your atk for dex will not affect your dps(on a no-crit build), simply stabilize the damage. Wearing Saiki or any set giving dex just makes it better.

PS.
Bouncer's Craft Mastery is terrible.

Some things to mention here.

Dex will actually lose average damage, because of the 5% base chance to crit which negates the value of Dex. So each Dex = 0.95 ATK. Of course with a Bo or Br Mag skill it will be a net gain.

...Bouncer's Craft Mastery is terrible

As nguuuquaaa said, it increases both min and max. For 10 points, it's better than an ATK Up 1 and approximately competitive with ATK Up 2 depending on active buffs, with the side benefit of improving crafted units too.

Base atk as character base stat or weapon base atk? Because if the former, no, barehanded tech casting will have zero damage variance. Same thing if you're casting tech using weapon with zero base Tatk (affixs seem to get no variance from what I saw at end of EP2 running as GUFO/FOGU).

If you meant weapon base attack, disregard the above.

Thanks for the correction, couldn't find any hard info on Craft mastery so I went with what i could be translate/understood/inferred from the JP wiki wording. Also forgot to account for the base crit chance. I was bound to screw up somewhere crunching all those numbers at 5 in the morning. The crit would make each dex point worth 1.80 damage or 0.95 average damage like you said, but to put that in perspective, in the above example's 163 T-Atk to Dex trade you'd end up losing 8.2 average damage only.

Whether always dealing predictable(for example always 1-shooting mobs) is worth the loss of that small damage is up to you(and some damage loss on those 5% crits). Builds with crit will definitely want to avoid trading for dex seeing ass a higher max damage is good for them.

Thanks for this long reply (I didn't quote in order to save some space). I feel that with all the replies, that my previous posts got rerouted a bit, the main topic was more about 10★ weapons. As I previously said, 11★ aren't really worth it in my book, especially the one you've used as an example since you're technically downgrading it. So unless you really must add a 2nd class to a weapon, I feel that it’s something that should be avoided.

Sticking with Force, let’s take the 10★ rod with the highest T-Attack, Esca Hermes. When fully grinded, this weapon offers 1069 T-Attack but when fully crafted, its 1130, giving it a 61 T-Attack boost, which is more that T-Attack 1 or Rare Mastery offers in a Skill Tree and more than the Technique V ability, worth in my book. Yes, you could hit less than an uncrafted Esca Hermes or you could have 10 hits in a row that are higher, that’s the risk of crafting.

Does anyone know what the golden thing on the limited NPC red cast's arm is? It's not part of the cast part set, so it has to be a weapon camo or accessory. Which is it? Is it obtainable? I can't seem to find it on Swiki.

Depends on the boost event itself.
Sometimes it's just +5%, where the other times they gave us +10% boosts.

That one "event" where you clear certain limited-time quest to collect points, everytime you clear the quest will contribute the points to open the panel that contain a reward.
They're doing it like twice a year.

Yes, button holding class are easly being the most OP class, almost all the time.

^Brisa isn't a real upgrade to Negro set anyway. But Saiki is.

So, keep using the Negro till you can actually equip their crafted version, which will need your FOTE at lv around 50/40-35.

Don't forget that you can use 10% requirement reducer, so the actual R-Def needed (assuming you want to craft all PP) is 374, instead of 416 of what they're showing on the recipe menu.

Hi again, couple questions!

- Are matter boards worth the trouble of going to 100% ? My EP 1 - 2 Matterboard has 4 blue quests to go but I can't get the items to drop. Should I just continue with the main story? The missing items aren't of much interest to me.

- Is crafting something I should delve into extensively as a new player? I've crafted a gun or two and it helped immensely, but I'm still stuck at Ranged Lv.1 and the costs for some of the stuff seem kinda high.
How do you even make money out of it? Seems like everything I make is bound?

Everything still remains at default, and i can't return to Phantasy Blob Online 2.

The bonus for completing a Matterboard is a 20% Grind Booster from the Title Counter, which sells for a decent chunk of meseta.
You can make a bit of money from crafting by doing Zeig's COs, or from accepting Crafting Requests, but usually people only search out the higher end recipes.

That is unusual, especially since key bindings seem to be server side. But everything else seems to point to a problem with you user.pso2 file (located in Documents/PHANTASYSTARONLINE2). Back-up your current one and then try deleting it, and running a file check. Everything will be reset to default, but you should be able to make changes.

There's nothing wrong with gaymen laptop, been using laptop for playing PSO2 over 3 years here, hahah
Delete your user.pso2 file, and then start JP launcher to get new config file.
Mind you all settings stored on the files (exculuding resolution since it's broken for you in the first place anyway) will be discarded upon deletion.

When I had this happen, I deleted the PHANTASYSTARONLINE2 folder in Documents and let the official launcher recreate the folder. Others have claimed success by reinstalling the game outside of the Program Files (x86) folder.

Like accessories and stuff can sometimes look like they're bugging out and moving a bit.
If it's still visually correct, then it's no problem.
Some accessories (or sometimes hairstyle) can get stuck inside character model for some reason, i think it's something to do with their placement.
They're also sometimes turning into weird shape momentarily when character moving (like a soggy ramen).

Occasionally, textures will glitch; also, some weapons don't quite mesh well with other objects, like how some bows show the arrow like a foot above the hand when being charged, or how Cast hands don't always "hold" weapons right.

Ya, I didn't trust it when the Tweaker said that an update was available instead of asking me if I wanted to install the pre-patch. Also, the official launcher is not asking to do jack shit right now, so I'm waiting.

Crossposting from my comment on Bumped. A lot are having this problem.



"Yes, me and my friends all have that issue. I copied the contents of the data folder from “_precede” to the actual data folder, then went to the tweaker folder and deleted the DO NOT DELETE ME file. This causes tweaker to rescan your folders and include the prepatch data. You can then check for updates using the new method and it should download about 400+ files (around 50-70MB).

Also, just to be safe, i ignored tweakers prompts about a new update being available on start-up, then redownloaded original JP files for each of the patches I had installed. THEN i used the “new method” of checking updates in the orb menu. All updated now."

I got the prepatch from the official launcher two days ago. I'm not sure if they had it available for a certain time period. I just did it when Bumped said so.

I downloaded the prepatch through the official launcher but I run the game through tweaker. Is there anything I should do between now and when servers come back up to save me some time? Tweaker tells me there's a prepatch to download for some reason, as well as saying updates are available.

EDIT: nvm, figured it out myself.

Another question: I picked up a crazy galactis off an MB3 not long ago, how much does it boost meteor fist's big fist rate, and is it worth using?

I rarely seen weapon being buggy, but certain weapon does has the problem, like for example tuna sword will look fucked up when being equipped by midget character.

Prepatch was 6GB alright, if you already downloaded the prepatch you only have to download the last 70MB today.
If you're redownloading the entire 6GB that means something are fucked up on your end.

If your talking about those side faces then it seem you can get both brave and wise by standing on either side of the platform. I havent used X/Fi in a while on mag but when I did I would just stand closer to the front. If I got moved to far to the side it would stop giving me the bonus damage even if I was still up on the platform. Not sure if they ever fixed this or if it was intended to work that way though.

You'll need to re-affix them o-o Use the item (through affix menu, the drop down menu), it'll be available to choose from affix list. 100% rate, reduced when upslotting like usual.

After the failure of my affix chart (learning that you can't have 2 souls :(), I started using the Online Affix Calculator Tool in order to see how I can go about what I need since I was out of ideas.

I could have sworn that Souls gave a boost to Stat Enhancements affixing (ex: Ragne Soul gives a boost to Technique X and Stamina X), but the Online Affix Calculator Tool doesn't seem to give me any. Did I imagine this or is the tool defective?

As for soul affixing boost, it's stat 3 only iirc. Yeah, as ridiculous as this is if you got stat 1,2, 4 or 5 it doesn't boost.
