If they do add Bows to the game, it should be with more dignity than PSU Longbows.
Daggers, Knuckles, and Shotguns were apparently confirmed, so no need to list those. But I would like to see:
-Mechguns
-Axes or Hammers if Swords end up being a utility/AoE weapon rather than a heavy DPS weapon
-Polearm-like and staff-like Double Sabers
-Wands (Casting weapon for non-Forces, perhaps?)
-Some sort of TCSM replacement, like dolls or orbs
-Spellblades or Whips or some other kind of magical melee weapon exclusive to Forces
-Slicers
...I have the strangest feeling someone did this thread already.

My thing is that absolutely do not think they should add more weapon types just to HAVE them, couldn't a Axe-like weapon be a sword or a partisan for instance? It convolutes the weapon system and could lead to unused weapon types and unimaginative Photon Arts.
I did think of hammer first when I thought hunter, it could have a lot of ground-pound AoE stuff and great stuns, and is visually very distinct to swords, but how would it serve a separate function within the game? What will make it actually expand the gameplay of the hunter rather than just iterating it?
Stuff like dual weild mechguns, and handguns and sabers being separated LOOKS different sure, but it doesn't actually add to the gameplay.
I'm actually surprised that Knuckles and Daggers are confirmed, I thought Knuckles Daggers and Claws had all been rolled up into the wired lance to compliment the more mobile gameplay style, but I can't say I'm disappointed! (Knuckles FTW ) How do you guys think they will play compared to the other hunter weapons?

I want something called the Agito class, witch would be a sheathed saber. Attacks and animation will involve the sheath and the blade together in someway.
I also wanted slicers to be in the game, but I want them to act as they did in PSZ. They leave your hand and comeback as a boomerang instead of being throwing knives.
I also wanted Forces to have more love. I wanted them to have bows and whips.
And as far as unique weapons go, I just wanted them to be like in PSO:
- Items so super rare that they were almost a myth (Red Ring and Parasitic Gene: Flow)
- Items that functioned completely different from their class (Like the launcher that fired like a Gatling Gun.
- Weapons that had unique attacks. (Like Soul Banisher's ability to fire Megid, or the kunai that could be thrown. And let's not forget the Tsumikiri-J.
- Also weapon transformations and items to trigger it, thus making it more unique. (Like Lavis.)
Also Hybrid weapons that function like the gun-slash would be cool. I wanted to see Bows that turned into Double sabers.
Haven't played the Beta yet but will participate in the upcoming one.
They are no bows yet!?!?? This is disappointing.
I'd be a little weirded-out if they didn't add them.
